Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

Hello.. I've been playing a few hellfire warlocks and I've noticed one major issue regarding it.
Nobody else can see the hellfire/shield VFX! I've learned to live without it, but I consider it a major part of my rp. Is this disabled on purpose? It was suggested to me by a dm that it might be to prevent metagaming- but I'm so used to that by now that I don't even care anymore.

This is no BGTSCC change.
