Keep logging in with strategy mode camera type...

Really want it to be in exploration instead. However, I haven't had any luck trying to find the way to switch it back in the settings options. Anyone have any ideas?

Suppose my wording could have been better. I do know how to change between the 2 once I'm in game. Though, when I first started playing, when I'd sign on it would already be in exploration mode and I wouldn't have to switch.

Same answer, if you look to you hotbar (the series of squares you can hotkey stuff into), to the right of that is three gray squares with yellow pictures. One is shaped like a spyglass, that should be the mode button you're after. Thats ingame.

If you cannot find this on the GUI bar for viewing mode (sometimes this bar disappears if you have installed GUI overrides) then I suggest setting a hotkey to switch between modes.
Perhaps one of the right-handed folks out there can tell you what the default key is because I changed all mine to the numeric keypad

I do see it in the GUI. I'm just not sure if I accidentally right clicked strategy mode, or what I did to botch up the fact that the exploration was the default camera mode. I did play with it a wee bit, so I'll see if I managed to successfully fix it after the reset.

I think its an old nwn2 bug that just 'happens,' but I could be wrong, been happening to me for years after some update or another.

Hmmm.. nope, doesn't seem like right clicking fixes it. *shrug* Suppose I'll just call it a bug as well and deal with it. lol

You can assign a key in the main menu to toggle between the camera modes as well.
While in-game open up the menu and look for: Keymapping, then click the "Game" tab, scroll to the bottom and look for "Toggle game mode". Double click in the key assignment for exploration mode and set the toggle to whatever you wish. For example, mine is set to the * on the number pad.

Ya it happens to me also. Might be an option in the menu to set the default or you can switch it back each time you sign in. Either way it will bug out again. . . it always does.
