Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

A man sets up a small stand inside the Friendly Arm Inn gates. He stands up, pulls out a lute and quickly strums a few chords. Then without further ado he breaks into song:

"A young man adventuring a-went,
On troubled paths and roads well bent.
Along the way such things he's seen,
mountains, valleys and things between.
Faced dangers too, oh my how brave,
Trolls, ogres, things from beyond the grave.
But somehow safely he returned,
Despite what bridges he has burned,
And brings you now these special things,
Armor and items fit for kings!
So come now and make an offer,
Take what you will and put gold in my coffer!"

He grins and bows, then waits for anyone to approach. A small sign on his table says the following:

"Only three high quality items at any time. When one sells, it will be replaced with another. Two days wait from highest bid sees it sold!"

A young man in a red hat stops by the stall, looking at the Mithral breastplate.


"I'll meet your opening bid on this fine piece sir!"

"I will make it to 60 bags" A young lady smiles "My name is Lilith, Protector of Gond."

The man smiles at Lilith before turning back to the merchant.

"75 bags, good sir."

The merchant grins and says "Unless the lady wishes to bid again, a few more hours and the breastplate is yours sir! What's your name?"

*The man favors her with a wide grin then bows and flourishes his hat*

"Chord Silverstrings miss, I shall wait patiently for the fine piece!"

"Sold!" cried the man with a smile. He puts the Mithral Breastplate aside and pulls out a fancy cloak which he lays out for people to peruse.

The bard pulls away two of the items and replaces them.

"This scimitar would be a wonderful addition for any spellcasting fighter out there. And the warhammer would make a useful weapon to anyone who wishes to strike fear into the hearts of their enemies!"

A man with a week tried beard notices the scimitar and nods to the merchant.

"Tarrent Nefzen will meet you're minimum bid on this fine blade sir."

"The blade is yours!" the troubadour cries. He then busies himself removing the other two items and placing three new ones out.

The bard clears his table and reveals three more, higher quality items. Two amulets and a fine dwarven waraxe.

Updated with two new items!

Draviir approaches the merchant with a smile, "I'd like that waraxe, how about I give you 100 bags?"

Jack grins broadly and cries "Sold to the fine gentleman for 100 bags!"
