Aasimar can't select Shou language when charactor creation. Does Shou language a neccessary condition for RP a charactor with Shou Lung bloodline?
If it is possible, what should I do to gain Shou language as a Aasimar?
I asked same question in DM forum yesterday, but the post just didn't turn up.
thanks for help!

If you ask a DM in game I'm sure they will grant you the Shou language. Just leave one language unselected.
As for the DM forums, the posts in those forums need to be approved by DM's before they show. I'm guessing a DM didn't have a chance to review your query yet.

If you want to gain some bonus information, then you could incorporate that at least one of your parents were from Mulhorand and traveled to Shou Lung for whatever reason - a lot of Aasimars can trace their roots back to Mulhorand.
For whatever reason, the Mulhorandi deities were 'intimately' fond of their mortal worshippers. ..

It might be best to create a character bio and background for your character. Certain languages, especially regional ones, we review bios for. Not to mention you also get that 2k experience.

I have read FRCS, but there is only very limited information about eastern nations. Thanks.Considerate_ wrote:If you want to gain some bonus information, then you could incorporate that at least one of your parents were from Mulhorand and traveled to Shou Lung for whatever reason - a lot of Aasimars can trace their roots back to Mulhorand.

*insert rant about the majority of the server's aasimars not being Mulhorandi as they should be*

Re: Could I creat a Aasimar monk from Shou Lung?
They tried to base a lot of Kara Tur on real world Asian folklore and to some extent history. If you've read the eastern kingdom stuff are still left wanting more, you can likely fill in the gaps with real world stuff.I have read FRCS, but there is only very limited information about eastern nations. Thanks.
There are a couple guides online that show which Eastern nation is roughly equivalent to which real world one.
- Wizards of the Coast website http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp? ... c/20070918]Kara-Tur consists of a number of provinces that have similar cultures to real world nations: Shou Lung (China), T'u Lung (China), Wa (Japan), Kozakura (Japan), Tabot (Tibet), Koryo (Korea), Ra-Khati (Nepal), Bawa (Taiwan), the Horse Plains (Mongolia), Malatra (Laos, Cambodia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam), and a number of smaller nations and principalities. Individuals from these nations -- most commonly the Shou and T'u -- have settled along the Golden Way, an enormous length of road running from Telflamm all the way to Shou Lung.
So:
Shou Lung - China
T'i Lung - Also China
Koryo - Korea
Wa - Japan
Tabot - Tibet
Ra-Khati - Nepal
Bawa - Taiwan
Horse Plains - Mongolia
Malatra - Laos, Cambodia, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam
