Any Mount and Blade Players?

Unread post by Bunnies5 »

Hello everyone,

Was wandering if there is anybody that plays or even has heard of the Mount and Blade games, they remind be much of Baldurs Gate and I have had a blast playing Mount and Blade over the years and there is a new one coming out predicted in 2016 :D

I play Mount and Blade Warband aND Napoleonic wArfare.

Gareut and Lyrweyn have Warband, too!

Generally I stick to TDMs under some variant of the name "Runa"

I like the Napoleonic Roleplay server for Napoleonic Warfare. Players tend to follow their officers, who RP taking command and give orders to their troops. This makes for fun and interesting battles with better organisation than most other servers. Admins see to it that players follow their officers.

When there are fewer players on (20 to 40) there's usually a single infantry officer and a single cavalry officer who command the troops, with engineers and artillery doing their own thing.

But when there are more players on (40 to 120) players tend to follow their respective regimental officers. You can have multiple lines of infantry and multiple groups of cavalry in a single battle. It is great fun. :)

Mount and blade warband is definetly worth getting if only for the singleplayer. (Though multiplayer can be fairly decent)

I highly recommend getting the viking add-on they released awhile back, lots of fun.
There are also a fair few mods for the game which make it even more fun.

I also play it from time to time. I am waiting patiently for Bannerlord.

Iirc Selande (correct me if I am wrong) is beastly at m&b. She can probably solo all of us with a club and no armor.

the Phantasy Calradia mod adds magic and different races and stuff. Very cool to have fireballs and magic missiles and stuff.

I have them. Good games but unfortunatly it takes a lot of time and there is no real ending or story. I also play with a mod that adds multiple funktions to the game. It is the FlorisModPack.

Well, there is some story but the game is mostly sandbox and creating your own kingdom.
Try Prophecies of pendor, it has a real ending and story...and is also the hardest mod for Warband.

Since i first played M&B, every 1-2 years i start it again( Warband now mostly) , play it till i get a castle or two, pump them with some hundrends of trained troops ,try to capture a king or two, and after 2-3 weeks or so i always end up stop playing ! A really nice game, pretty addictive at start, but for me it always ends like i described !

Never played online !

I didnt know that a new one was coming !

I have been actively playing Mount & Blade: Warband before returning to Neverwinter Nights 2. I used to play cRPG and now I'm patiently waiting for Bannerlord. If anyone else wanted to play, let me know, I've the game still installed :)

Mount and Blade is an epic game and the DLCs you can buy on steam are incredible! The Vikings Conquest dlc really takes the core based game and expands on it massively adding a story yet still has the classic sandbox feel to the single player. With what they have managed to put together for the Mount and Blade Warband DLCs I cannot think what they are capable of for Mount and Blade Bannerlord! :)
