Inspired by the PvP Fan Club. This thread is for those players who enjoy Perma-Death oriented RP and want to be able to engage in it freely. This is a place where you can post your
self inflicted Perma-Death strike and the story behind it.

N'essa
Strike 1, 2, 3: N'essa is publicly beheaded by Duke Eltan of Baldur's Gate, Year of the Morningstar, Eleasis 7.*
[ Server Timeline | 1350 DR (2014) - Year of the Morningstar ]
1350 DR (2014) - Year of the Morningstar wrote:- A party of surfacers travels to the Underdark city of S'shamath to attempt to negotiate the release of a prisoner with the exchange of stolen artifacts but are too late to stop numerous raids being levied against the surface. Later several drow appear on the surface in the company of the Paladin Ronin. They bring several sickly slaves as a token of ‘friendship.’ Several adventurers and the faithful of Ilmater nurse the former slaves to health, and the paladin is held to Trial for endangering Baldur’s Gate and sympathizing with drow. During sentencing, the Paladins’ drow lover Nessa [sic] appears and chastises the Duke’s for their foolishness. The drow is executed and the paladin branded an exile, to serve as an example of the extents of drow corruption and the perils which befall any drow sympathizers.
* Note:
N'essa's permadeath was voluntary and not forced by the staff, I'm only mentioning this because some people have asked.
A sincere thank-you to the staff and especially DMogorgon for allowing N'essa's RP to end in such a spectacular way.

Sjinn/Jassin:
Strike 1: Ages upon ages ago, he decided to go explore Durlags Tower with the quite blind elf bardess Leonia. A drow pact-maker wandered by... and the two elves were horribly melted, slain, and summarily sacrificed. (Aaaand that's why Dreary the elf never goes to Durlags anymore!)
No strikes since then, but he's had numerous close calls.

Daamien
Commited suicide after being trapped in the Song of the Morning Temple by Lathanderite Templars. This was immediately following his assassination of the Amnian tax collector, Antolina Burgoz. The culmination of a 5 week stake-out, after his first attempt failed to kill her, but put her into a coma.
Big thanks to DM Dialectic for making it happen. It was very tense and had me on the edge of my seat!

A fire blazes from the Woods of Sharp teeth. Crys of Battle could be heard as Lightning and Fire absorb the area in an array of colors and smoke, blood fills the soil decaying the trees and plants that grow there. Battle horns sound off as an orc rallying cry as a small battalion surrounds a masked man in purple armor accompanied by an army of Demon and Devils.
The Battle Raged on the Demon and Devils setting ablaze to the nearby trees and the man conjuring storms of Heavy Rain and Lightning adding to the carnage!
A man in in a brown hood, his face hidden and his body coated in a icy outline, spots the battle as it rages on! A fierce battle between that of Orcs and Demons flood the area in sounds of war! Weapons and Spells Clash together causing more destruction and chaos as the wood animals being to follow their seances and flee from the area.
The Brown hooded man of ice runs to warn a party of adventures not far from the area about the battle that rages on in the northern woods. Telling tales of Fires and Storms cascading from the area! The party thanks the man for the warning them then heading out towards where the battle rages on!
Once they arrive there is nothing to be seen. . . a view charred trees outline what was the recent field of battle as all is quiet. . . As they would happen to explore deeper they would witness the Bloody trails of orc and demon blood alike. . . Although there seems to be outlaying bodies it could be determined that the bodies were dragged off in a some sort of a flee as pieces of chain mail and broken weaponry outlay the grounds more then the soil itself.
Then. . . That is where they witnessed it. . . The Towering Balors and crawling spawn of demons approach from the north accompanied by a masked man in purple carrying a spear that rang with the sounds of a almost deafening screech of electricity that flowed through the steel features of the spear. He seems to be in a defensive state as his magics proved to be that of offensive and defensive and his clothing soaked in blood as well as the Balors and Demons accompanying him.
Within seconds a battle between the party and the Balors raged on more clashes of magic and weaponry sounded off within the hills of the Sharp teeth! Screeches of agony filled the skies as the Balors and Flooding Hell Spawn were brought down by the party leaving all but the masked man who accompanied them. The masked man and the party quickly sprung into battle leaving little for the imagination for those who bared witness to this epic battle!
But alas! End the end the party reined victorious even with heavy casualties. And the Balors. . . Demons. . . as well as the man lied upon the soils limp and lifeless. . . The party without hesitation set ablaze the body of the summoner and banished the fiendish summons leaving the smell of burning flesh and a hint of cooked mushroom filling the air. . . All that was left. . .
Was a handful of mushrooms that lied next to the burning corpse of the man. . . and a book unaffected by the flames.

Cecilia Lafayette
Strike One:
Tarsakh 8, 1350. (April 8, 2014)
Ameris Santraeger, Cecilia Lafayette and Brenda DuVale are claimed by the Zhentarim after confrontation during the gathered restoration efforts of Triel. Brenda resorts to taking her own life,
Ameris is hung the following day, and Cecilia's own death followed several days after. It was some great RP. Perma-death was on the table, but the efforts of others saw the notch of strike instead. A true resurrection was performed five days later by Neschera of the Song of the Morning, with aid from Sister Catherine of Ilmater and Ayla Elidole of Candlekeep.
[Additionally, there have been other permanent punishments not related to death that the character is marked with but these are known through RP only and off the current topic. The character is also now semi-retired].
