I highly doubt it.

Anybody test this?

For example, +2 dodge boots with +1 dodge vs evil.... ...should always give just +2, right? the +1 vs evil should be extraneous.

Nothing else stacks, deflections don;t stack, neither do armors, enhancement bonuses do not stack, and attack bonuses do not stack with enhancement bonuses, so I can't see why boots would work differently, except that dodge always stacks...

It does stack. Only dodge though, no other sources of AC

However there are glitches with it IG, the biggest issue is the anti exploit scripts on the server, the ones that un-equip and re-equip your items. If you have a alignment/race specific source of dodge as well as regular dodge, these both get removed as a "regular" dodge bonus, but then re-applied independently. Which in your case above (+2 dodge +1 vs evil) means every time you equip and unequip the boots your stripped of 3 dodge but only ever given 2 dodge back so you lose 1 AC permanently (until relogging) each time you do it.

Tested with Bloodlust where I could get my 47ac toon down to 0ac just by equipping and unequipping boots (he had a better explanation for the whole scenario, spell hook script maybe?)

I should clarify that this only starts to happen at the second time you log onto a particular server session

It does stack. However, it only stacks because of a fix the staff implemented many months ago. Before that, it didn't stack. So +2 AC, +1 vs evil will be +3 AC vs evil right now. If the fix gets removed at a future date, this will revert back. Two things should be noted however:

1.) These items are annoying. If you unequip your +2 AC, +1 vs evil boots, the game reduces your AC by 3 each time (you get +2 back as you put on the boots). So equip/unequip these boots once or more and you lose a lot of AC until the server resets. The amount of AC you lose for each unequip is always equal to the value of x vs alignment/race/damage type.

2.) It's still illegal to have an item that provides more than +4 total AC. The server has a maximum of +4. If your boots in some way give more than this, contact a DM to fix it or be sad when they find you and take the boots away.

Completely true. I experienced this "entertaining" bug some time ago. It's annoying and nasty; it passed some days until I realized why the hell was happening. Be careful with these kind of items.
