New Art Possibilities

Unread post by CommanderKrieg »

Hey everyone, mostly fellow arters. I am looking into buying my first drawing tablet. What's good out there, what should I look at? For a while I've been using a mouse, so it's exciting to up the ability here and do some really neat stuff :)

So what should I look for? What's a good price? What's a good brand?

Hello!

I highly recommend the Wacom brand tablets, for the start you can go with a Bamboo version and if you're willing to spend a bit extra for a more professional one then an Intuous is great.

I personally use Intuos 5 (some years old) and it still serves me great. But before that I had a Bamboo that worked just as well :) To be honest whatever you choose from Wacom all of them are awesome, no lag, doesn't scratch up easily etc.

Price of their tablets vary from 50eu and up as far as your wallet is fat.

P.S. I'd suggest small or medium size as any larger than that just takes too much space on the table and is a bit of an overkill (personal opinion)

I'm really happy with my wireless Wacom Intuos Pro medium size :)

Soooo happy it's wireless as I can just have it on my lap while drawing. And the touch features are really cool too. You are able to 'turn your paper' by a touch of your fingers on the tablet for instance. Bamboo is a nice one all the same though! Just check what you need.
