Background: Laurio Joriin was born in Icewind Dale around 1330. Since his very early childhood, his relatives all noticed several strange things about him; his unnaturally high body heat, and the tendency to breathe out sparks when he was angry. He lived in Bryn Shander, the central town of Ten-Towns, until his sixteenth birthday, at which time he set out to find his golden draconic ancestor, who lived far to the south. After three years of travel, he found his ancestor and trained for a full year, unlocking the true powers of his heritage. One day, a troop of evil adventurers showed up, ordered by their leader, a red half-dragon, to kill the noble creature. After a lengthy battle in which the majority of the adventurers died, the gold dragon was finally put down. In his dying moments, he gave Laurio a single scale, and said "Keep it. A reminder of who you are... and where you came from." With that, he died, and Laurio, in his rage, entered battle with the last of the enemy warriors. His opponent, weary and on the brink of death, fell quickly, and Laurio again set out, wandering the Coast for a few years, before he finally found Baldur's Gate and settled in.
Goals: To unlock the true power of his draconic heritage. To just make the world a better place, if he can.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: Considers his ancestor's scale to be his most valuable possession, and reacts violently to any attempts to take it.
