Boots decrease AC?

SO I got these boots in the graveyard whilst grinding for gold and I found these boots called "Leg of the Juvenile Elemental". When I equip them, they don't give the AC bonus they say they do and when i take them off, they actually reduce my AC.

Yes, that's a known bug with boots that have specific armor bonus (like vs. bludgeon here).
Best advise is just sell them.

All the above is true. One of the nastiest bugs I personally had the "pleasure" to experience. The worst point of this bug is to lose 1AC when logging with the boots equiped. As Theodore said, the best you can do with the boots is to sell them.

Tsk! You all are totally wrong!
Remember... in the original Baldurs gate. The lower your AC was.... the better!
These types of boots just help to bring immersion and nostalgia from those good ol days!
