Source Books and Lore

I very much enjoy RP-ing, but I have to admit I don't know as much of the world's lore as I would like to. So far I have only read around on the
Forgotten Realms wiki.
That said, I'd like to improve, but I don't quite know where to start - which books should I start with? Where can I buy them? Or are there good free (and legal) sources online that I don't know of?
A few areas I'm particularly interested to find out more about:
- Druids
- Clerics
- Monks
- 'Genera world setting'

this is not a complete list, most of these books should have information on druids or druidic deities
1e Forgotten Realms Campaign Set
1e Waterdeep & the North
2e Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting
2e Player's Guide to Forgotten Realms Campaign
2e The North
2e Elminster's Ecologies
2e Prayers of the Faithful
2e Faiths & Avatars
2e Powers & Pantheons
2e Demihuman Deities
3e Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting
3e Faiths & Pantheons
3e Magic of Faerûn
3.5e Player's Guide to Faerûn
there are also various novels with druid themes, like Darkwalker on Moonshaes
most of these books can be found in print form at your local brick & mortar game store, amazon.com, ebay.com, games-plus.com, etc.
for PDF form, you could try
www.drivethrurpg.com
(or for the desperate, pirated versions of the books can be found on the internet... however...please choose to support the authors, publishers and your local brick & mortar game stores that put in a lot work to create these for us . ),

I tried supporting the local store but the guy that owns it thinks his books are made out of gold. For something I eventually bought online for about $13 he wanted $80. New you could have gotten it for $40. . . so ya. I do not shop there.

Thank you, that's very helpful - if you could pick 2x books from the above, which ones would you choose?

3e Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting
Best to start with getting an idea for the setting so that you are more familiar with it. Just remember that our timeline is in 1352 DR. Time of Troubles (ToT) has not happened yet.
This site has much lore from the above sourcebook and some extra
http://www.realmshelps.net/faerun/index.shtml
This site is great for deities. It is all from 2e Faiths & Avatars. Go to "General Realms Info" and then to the relevant pantheon.
