I recently went through this myself with some are I had also renamed. Presumably you will need to have a screenshot of the cloak's stats, as I did.

Items can and do disappear for no seemingly discernible reason. Good practice is to keep a screenshot of the stats of the items you value, in case it happens to you, as DMs are very reluctant to reimburse items on good faith. This especially applies to coveted items.

Since Ditto's post is a personal view, I thought I could say that the DM team have been reluctant to reimburse mostly epic items without a screenshot of the stats from my experience.

Mantle of Gram the Mouse is not an unusual item and not even worth 100k. Talk to a DM in-game and I think they can reimburse it, really.

I have had DMs refuse to reimburse me diamonds once when they disappeared from my inventory. A not that rare gem with no mechanical impact on the game whatsoever. So I guess mileage may vary. (Though I would hope that the DMs treat all of these incidents equally.)

This should be standard practice, the bug is not all that uncommon.
