This spell appears to do nothing at all, whether I select an effect in the options before casting or use the drop down menu. It does force nearby targets to make a will save for some reason.

C&C and amplify have been changed. They are DC based now

How do these spells work now?

So, amplify is a lvl 1 DC based spell on one of the lowest DC casters in the game, even if they go full CHA? And they have to fail a DC for me to transmute my own ears? It's a self target transmutation spell, that makes no sense at all whatsoever. How was it envisioned that this would work?

Amplify is a Save for half spell, like most of the spells and closer to pnp

I would assume this change was made to scale the abilities of Spotters, giving sneaks a bit of an edge, going forward (see the various debates in the last year).

Save for half makes sense. This is why we need patch notes, people are reporting changes and not bugs.

We also need patience.

All we need is love~
A lot of the changes were written more than a year ago. Even as we do expand on the patch notes that Duster47 put up on the updates thread, there will probably be a handful that we miss until they're pointed out and can be added to said thread.
We'll try to make the notes as complete as possible, but most people can't even remember what they had for dinner last Saturday, let alone what they coded last April.

Well, we have been asked to help report problems. I'm trying to help, but I am not sure what is working as intended and what is not. Speaking of, now about to make a new thread about aberrant claw...

When in doubt, report. We can sift the "its meant to be like this" out

Well in the case of bards, we get a small selection of spells and can't cast them very often. That has always been the other side of the coin for bards in regards to their spells. Get good spells, never can cast enough of them. Changing a level one spell into a DC spell is the same as saying it will always be cut in half unless the person is so far below you in level it wouldn't matter anyway. And as for amplify, it is a bard only spell, so it is a slap in the face to a class that gets trumped by a single "Energy Immunity: Sonic" or getting caught in a silence without joyful noise already going. Let bards keep their strengths when their weaknesses are already so glaring and not going away. (And let's not mention that sonic immunity isn't breachable, and Bard's don't get mords without a PrC that has a significantly smaller cap than a real mords.)

You are the first i know, speaking about bard weaknesses... How do you justify a +20 on a important mechanical skill?
