Arterial Strike and Unarmed

Reading through the feat, the only requirement seems to be sneak attack. Yet, after taking it on my rogue/monk, I get a message that says I can not use it with that weapon-meaning unarmed.

Is this intended for only weapons, just slashing weapons. It is not defined. But I did qualify for its use through its description.
