Bards damage spell keeps going after death

Noticed that after a bard dies in pvp his song keeps playing and dealing damage. Not sure if this works with all the other spells but it clearly does with the sonic damage one.

That's cause in PVP they don't really "die." Easiest solution is just to back up. Also not sure why Terri got fugued, that doesn't normally happen.

Just seems like a nasty bug that can have a huge OOC effect on group pvp.

It is a bug, but I play a fairly chaotic bard and it is rarely an issue honestly. I just tell people OOC if I go down before them to ignore their death, or to back up if they have time. Most people don't seem too bothered.

Yes it was obvious this time because it was a bunch of people fighting one bard. Imagine if it was 10 vs 10 though. 99% of us can't read at superhuman speeds and cant see in the combat log the hundreds of points of damage a KOed bard is dealing. Even if they notice it I sincerely doubt it would be possible to reset the fight to the moment the bard fell. It would be extremely unfair to tell the bard they cannot use their songs in PVP due to this bug. This leaves what? Only option left I can think of is for our volunteer devs to look into creating some sort of ability interruption upon pvp death. They are extremely busy but I am beginning to wonder how much ooc effect this bug has had on the servers pvp considering the popularity of the class.

Yes it is. I have fought in several pvp's that included as many as 30 players. They are rare but do occur. If you really want to have one there are action servers dedicated to them in fact. On this server it tends to be a lopsided affair with the more pvp oriented guild/group winning no contest.
