Cult of Ghaunadaur Roleplay thread
((This is for RP involving the cult of Ghaunadaur faction, member or not))
Deep with the labrynth like sewers underneath Sshamath a group of outcasts have been gathering to Praise the Elder Eye
Urebriil was cleaning up the ritual area after him and Jellyjaw had parted ways, he made a final sacrifice for the day when a group of oozes approached the altar. The oozes normally hostile passed him and crawled to the altar. They seemed to be praying at the altar in their own way.

Re: Cult of Ghaunadaur Roleplay thread
A shadowy humanoid hooded in a piwafwi walks through the tight tunnels of the slave caverns south of S'shamath. The escaped slaves join him, walking after him, finding themselves irresistably drawn to the figure for the magical wand of domination in his slender gloved hand.
They assemble together in a cavity where the floor is a quagmire of green liquefaction. An altar is revealed against the furthermost wall. It bares a great and terrible eye.
As the humanoid raises his rod above his head his small band of goblinoids kneel. Staring into the eye, they sacrifice themselves using their own weapons...

Urrebril had sent a message to all of the members of the faction, using his newly gained magical abilities
Faithful of that which lurks, we have an opportunity to increase our influence in this city, we are to gather at the first holy shrine that I had blessed. There we will discuss this in greater detail"

Re: Cult of Ghaunadaur Roleplay thread
A note has been posted in the Sshamath sewer addressed to the faithful of Ghaunadaur.
My brothers, I am aware some of you will not be able to attend the Conclave meeting. I will attend and I plan on representing ALL of us and our interests. So if you see this note I would like you to write what you would like to to bring up and discuss. I hope you will find the time to attend though as we need to show a strong presence or we will not be taken seriously ..

Re: Cult of Ghaunadaur Roleplay thread
The Seeker, Drail, performs pastoral visitation and exposition from The Book of Ghaunadaur these cycles. For want of a temple these meetings occur within the sewers or the wealthier homes of the cultists where crowds of up to one hundred at a time gather in praise and adoration. Citizens and slaves sit together exploring their new equality and learning the dark doctrine together.
After study, worship, prayer and a sacrifice (occasionally of a willing convert but most often a kidnapping, slave, or simply wine and food) the Seeker Drail finds opportunity to report of his more recent expeditions outside S'shamath.
"While exploring the tunnels I happened upon a cult of kobolds occupying a cavern not far from The City. I do not speak their language so the preaching of Ghaunadaur's commandments was ... misunderstood.
Skirmishing ensued but an advantage was easily gained over them. Enough of the kobolds escaped that I imagine they will regroup, but enough were captured alive for a mass sacrifice pleasing to The One Who Lurks."
The tunnels east of the mushroom spore grove are deathly silent this cycle. There had been fighting - but it was over now. In many places dried blood soaks the packed dirt floor of the cavern inhabited by the kobold cultists. But the bodies are not where they fell.
When the religious ceremonial chamber of the kobolds is discovered it is desecrated.
The idols the kobolds worshiped lay shattered and trodden on the ground. The altar is missing and the wealth that was hoarded here has been ransacked completely.
The center of this chamber is saturated with dark reptilian blood as if a mass killing had occurred. Following the blood trail of many dragged bodies one comes to the edge of the chasm wherein they may surely spy the toppled broken altar and countless kobold bodies - a mass grave. Some clearly died in the fighting but the most part have been only injured lightly in the skirmish. These seem to have been bled by a cut to the throat.
Most concerning is the unsettling movement in the shadowy depths. Slimes ooze over and among the bodies, dissolving and digesting them in a bubbling frenzy. Surely this was the handiwork of Ghaunadaur's election.

Re: Cult of Ghaunadaur Roleplay thread
On a quiet morning, a strong sound, like a cavern collapsing, deep but not long, resonates through the sewers. Those cultist who first follow the sound track and come to the point from where it was emitted, stop in shock and surprise with the image they find. Just below one of the sewer entrances, three goblins are strongly tied, back against back, forming a circle. They barely can move due to the ties, although their legs and shoulders suffer from seizures from time to time, with the hair bristly. In the middle of the three goblins a long spear is deeply nailed to the stone floor. A carefully folded paper hangs from the end of a fine chord tied to the top of the spear. A wax lock, with the image of three rays inside a circle, keeps the inner message out from the view. Nevertheless, a meticulous handwritting shows a short message over the wax lock:
To the sole attention of the High Priest of the Elder Eye:
Consider these hunted slaves as a gift to show my good will, may they serve dos however dost desires dictate. Usstan have a proposal to make dos. If dos want to know more, please read the words written for dos, and only for dos, within this paper.

//Goblins still alive, no corpses. Only a bit electrifiedNocturnus wrote:Urebril creeps over to the corpses and picks the letter and opens it.
When Urebril touches the wax to open the letter, the three rays light up for an instant and disappear. The wax is easily broken. Inside the folded paper, another message is written with the same meticulous calligraphy:
This is dost first step into a possible profitable and beneficial agreement for dos, usstan and our Lords. If dos want to know more, contact ussa to expose the proposal and discuss the details in a personal meeting.
Lilly Sai'zzel, Chosen of Talos, the Lord of Storms
Lilly Sai'zzel, Chosen of Talos, the Lord of Storms
When the message is completely read, the letters shine with the same light the three rays did and disappear as well. The first meesage is gone too. Urebril is now holding a blank paper, with a broken wax seal.

The Meeting with the Cultists
Credit to DM Dialectic for this event - thank you!
Primordial Lurker Urebril and Seeker Drail arrive at the arranged chamber. They watch with approval and respect as a willing drow female, a convert of Ghaunadaur, walks into the great slime and dissolves into red mist. Ghaunadaur loves willing sacrifice.
The giant gelatinous ooze, created from a purple worm. In the presence of this colossal slime the Primordial Lurker of the cult inside of S'shamath and the Primordial Lurker of the cult outside of S'shamath are introduced at last.
Diplomacy and counsel between Primordial Lurkers as witnessed by the S'shamath cult's Seeker, Drail.

Re: Cult of Ghaunadaur Roleplay thread
Fellow Primordial, lurkers and oozes, the time has come once again, the council of this city is gathering once again and it's faithful need representation. Especially with the vermin slaves growing rapidly as vermin does. So who will join your Primordial Lurker? Who will show them that they are little more than a pest to the Elder Eye?
