New feat questions

I have some questions about some of the new feats (mechanics, etc). Also, why do these feats only show up on certain levels? Half of these feats seem to disappear from available choice as you increase in level (in JEGS).

One-Hander
The description says this feat works on any one-handed weapon, does this include one-handed weapons used in two hands such as longswords or bastard swords?

Expert Tactician

This never worked in vanilla. Kaedrin turned it into a simple +1 AB, is that the same in BGtSCC?

Athktatlan Triparite & Sembian Fencing
Are these feats even present? They don't show up.

JEGS is not currently up to date with content from the latest update, as far as I know.

The description says it only works with "one handed weapons or light weapons." What this means is it works with STRICTLY one handed weapons, of which there are two types: Daggers and Kukris. It also works with all light weapons--shortsword, mace, sickle, light hammer, kama, and handaxe.

What I'm not entirely sure of is whether or not it works with a rapier. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it uses the same mechanics as Weapon Finesse, so any weapon that's considered finesse-able would qualify for One Hander mode.

That being said, I have not tested it, and it's entirely possible rapiers don't work, as they are in fact medium weapons. Longswords and Bastard Swords definitely will not work with this feat.

No, it is not. On BGTSCC this feat is as wasted as it is on vanilla, and a change for this one will not likely be very high priority, at least until the they work through most of the bugs in the recent major update. Of course I probably shouldn't be speaking for the devs, but I do know they have their plate very full at the moment!

Yes. They are present. I spoke to a player who took Sembian Fencing on their character just this morning, actually.

Hope this helps!

it does a great deal, thanks!

One more question: Does Sembian Fencing and Athkatlan Triparite stack?

they did when I tested them on server 2, haven't tested them since the update went live though.

Wow, that's pretty good. I might take it.

if you use the one there is no reason not to use the other... only having 2 attacks / round is rough, but against high AC enemies that you have trouble hitting it is definitely a boon to get AB, Damage and AC. :)

I just ran it through JEGS, and if it's accurate, I'll max out at close to 60AC and close to 50AB. Only two attacks, but with that AB I think I'm guaranteed to do serious damage.

I just picked up Sembian Fencing, but I'm unsure that it's working properly. Neither the character sheet nor the combat log indicate that I'm getting the AB bonus (but everything else seems to be working). Am I still getting the bonus, even if it's not showing in the combat log/char sheet?

make sure you activate the feat. I don't think the AB / # of attacks change, but you should see the bonus slashing damage in your character sheet. It works like a style so you have to add the feat to your quick bar and click it to activate the style, then you will see a +x slashing damage on your character sheet, but it won't actually show the lower # of attacks or AB increase.

I did precisely that, but it wasn't showing any increase in AB in the combat log. I thought that even if something wasn't displayed in the character sheet it would still show in the log, which is why I was confused.

The One Hander doesn't work with longswords? Oh man I need to RCR again. I was certain I got it working with longswods on Jegs when I tested it :? :? .

What about small races?

I got this impression from the description of the feat too. It looked to me as if it works on all one-handed weapons. Perhaps add more spesific in there once it is clear what weapons work with this feat.

Agreed the name is a bit misleading.
