Are we getting default racial language again?

Right now ,Tieflings, half elves, and I believe elves, do not get their race language.

Just curious. Thanks.

My hin and elf got their racial and class languages just fine after character creation or after first relogging. Also the correct additional language slots based on INT modifier.

Tieflings do not seem to get abyssal and class language counted towards total language limit.

Tanarukks are not getting Orc or Abyssal for free. In fact, they don't start with any languages, not even Undercommon.

It's already been addressed and we are waiting an update or something.

Should half-orcs get Orc? From a gameplay perspective it seems fair, however it may not make sense from a lore perspective.

Half-Orc:
Monster Manual I, page 204. Automatic langauges: Common, Orc.
Aasimar:
Monster Manual I, page 209. Automatic Languages: Common, Celestial.
Tiefling:
Monster Manual I, page 210. Automatic Languages: Common, Infernal.

I Myself Have a tiefling with 16 INT. I should have Common Abyss and +3 languages. When I log in I have Common Elven, and 2 more languages to pick. for a total of 4, when I should have 5.

When you RCR a tiefling you don't get ANY languages (no Abyssal, and you won't even get Cant, if you're a Rogue), and if you have bonus languages from classes, they count toward language limit (meaning if you have Cant, and +3 int modifier, language window will only let you pick two more languages). This is a bug.

Ask DM for assistance.

My RWoT got SIX copies of arcane language. Who can trump that?

No, this isn't right.

I know this because I have 3 class languages on one character. If you have that problem, relogging does help.

The issue is, if you weren't human, you got a bonus racial language. This isn't happening now. I just want to know if this is intended or a work in progress.

I get that everyone is working hard, I truly do. But some kind of response along the lines of "yes, non human races should have their racial language as a bonus" or "No, we are going a different path for racial bonus languages."

It is something so far down the list of priorities, I understand. It's leaving a language in limbo right now because of the uncertainty.

....

I think there was a misunderstanding.

A tiefling is SUPPOSED to get racial language, and they USED to get it before the update. They no longer get those. Which is a bug. Also, Cant definitely counts towards language limit now, which is ALSO a bug.

The only way to fix that is to bother DMs. They can grant you languages and you'll get your abyssal.
