What is going on with Techsmith?

I don't get any input on the bugs forum, so I guess I have to post here.

So, what is going on with the Techsmith? Specifically, the gondsman. I just logged in and summoned my gondsman only to see he lost 3 of his levels, as in he used to be lv 10 and now he is lv 7.

There's plenty of other weird things with the class as well, so any sort of input on what's going on with it would be appreciated.

It is a new PRC and, thus is a work in progress. I believe Rasael lowered the Gondsman 3 levels because it was too powerful. Not sure if there are going to be other/different changes with a reversion of level or not at this point. As to any other input it would help if you could be more specific about the 'weird things' you are noticing...

Ah, well, I'd like to add that the companion AI isn't too great. Sometimes they just stand around. Nerfing what is already kind of iffy seems weird.

Another issue is when the gondsman equips a weapon, it stays in your inventory. This takes up valuable inventory space.

Companion AI is a stock NWN2 issue that no one has had any luck addressing...sorry, them's the breaks. It has been posted elsewhere recently to add the commands to your quick bar (Attack, Stand Ground, Follow, etc.) so you can easily re-issue commands.

The weapon equipping has also been discussed and is to prevent an exploit to the best of my knowledge. If you can do without the EB to attack the Gondsman's fists are pretty decent in their own right.

That's my own topic lol.

Anyway, my point was that since they already have bad AI it seems kind of lame to nerf them.

There was a level 10 character that had a Gondsman with 200 HP buffed to 60 AC...at level 10... Part of the issue being Gondsman is supposed to require 4th level spells, not 4th level cleric, so it might be it gets improved somewhere close to back where it was, but I think the issues are still being worked through so nothing is final.
