I just could not understand the in game explanation.

Your first attack becomes 2-5 attacks. Best way to think okc it is you will gain 1-4 attacks at lower AB for one round.

Is this manyshot? Does it work for crossbow?

Manyshot works for every ranged weapon. Sling, throwing axe, crossbow, etc.

Arrow split is a Ranger spell. You get 1-4+1 bonus attacks when used, but at a reduced attack bonus. When I tested in QC before implementation there were some issues with the Attack Bonus being inconsistent, but I think those got worked out before going live. However, if you notice anything wrong with # of attacks or AB please post in the bug forums.
