Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

A skinny humanoid of slightly elven shape sat near the carts with only one item before him. He plopped down a small little sign with some leaflets.

"Selling a pretty decent cloak." followed by "Place your bids."

The cloak looked rustic and brown but it glowed with magical energies.

Starting bid - 50 sacks

The Brown Cloak

+2 Wis

A young, blonde human with a feathered hat spies the cloak and at first dismisses it outright...After looking at it a moment longer he nods his head to the seller.

"Not exactly an eye catcher, but there's no denying the enchantments. I will meet your request for 50 bags. Chord Silverstrings is my name, now when can I pick up the purchase?"

Alluin looked up and gave her a scrutinizing look. He slowly reached over and wrote upon the leaflet. "Keep an eye on the sign. 3 moons will pass and the last one on the list receives the cloak. It wouldn't quite be an auction if I just sold it to the first bidder."

A short gnome reads the sign and mumbles aloud... "If 50 bags was the bid required to start, and that has been made...and the last name on the list receives the cloak..."

He reaches up and writes, at the very bottom of the list leaving no room for and names underneath: "Boddynock Namfoodle - 5 copper"

Marcus approaches the auction, smiling at the interaction and then next to Boddynocks' bit writes "(continued on back)".

Turning the page over he writes Marcus Darious 100 Bags


"I'll offer 100 bags for this cloak, names Marcus"

Alluin gently reached over and grabs a longer stick. The Elf gently pushed at the gnomes stomach in an attempt to push him away with it before he looked up to a more serious offer and scribbled on the Leaflet.

"Don't poke me just because you got outwitted! This other fellow is clever though."

"I have far less patience than a Gnome can supercede. If you have a legitimate bid please, but lets be...civil...about it all..."

Looking at the bidding Chord frowns, but nods to the merchant

"a hundred and twenty bags then"

Marcus smiles,

"150"

The Spell Whirlwind can not be controlled by the feat granted "Direct whirlwind"

Continues to scribble on the leaflet as the two go back and forth.

*The man in red looks up as the third moon begins to rise over-head.*

Draviir looks the cloak over with an appraisers eye, "Hmm, this could be handy. I'll up the offer to 350 sacks of coin."

Scribbles another note on the leaflet.
