Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

Firstly, hello, and thanks preemptively for your help and consideration. I had it in mind to roll some kind of archer, and had intended to go with the rather traditional Bard/Assassin/Arcane Archer/Elemental Archer. To my moderate disappointment however, I discovered that Assassin is alignment locked to evil, and the Avenger equivalent isn't present.

In lieu of this, I thought I would beseech those more familiar with BG's unique terroir, metaphorically speaking, for some alternatives. I find it difficult to think of anything that would replace Death Attack and HiPS as essential skills for an archer in NWN2, but who knows.

Hello despite the description or pre-existing condition the custom changes on the server allow players of all alignments pick Assassin for their characters.

Ah, well this rather heads the entire point of this off at the pass. Thank you both. I had indeed been relying upon the TLK description instead of the forum one.

I've seen crazy builds on nwn2db. Arcane death dealer is a good one that currently can deal 48d6 sneak attack. But you have to make changes to it as the server does not allow you to have less than 3 levels in any class.

On this server Assasin qualifies you for Arcane Archer

From what I can find on the forums, it seems like +4 ability gear is available but incredibly rare. Do most people build for +3 (i.e. a lot of odd numbers) or do people plan on eventually getting +4?

When they say incredibly rare they mean **INCREDIBLY** rare. Do NOT plan on it.

It should also be noted that the server has fixed Uncanny Dodge and that many of the bosses have ultra high spot and crit/sneak immunity.

Still, Archer builds don't rely totally on sneak. Given the dispel bug fix here though, I'd go F8/Asn8/AA9/EA5 for massively high AB that doesn't rely on buffs.

Ranger archer builds are incredibly strong too, especially after level 21 when you get bane of enemies.
Problem with a ranger archer is that you have to pick you favored enemies very carefully, in that they do basically zero dmg against non-favored ones.
