Background:
A Thayan of Rashemi descent, the son of a Farmer who was the victim of escaped orcish slaves. Upon the loss of his family he was purchased as a slave by a Temple dedicated to Loviatar. Time as a slave in such a temple was not kind, but perhaps less brutal than might be implied. In addition, the Dogma of Loviatar gave him a purpose, to endure those blows that cannot be avoided and visit as much pain as possible to those that offend.

When a traveling Monk from the disciples of the White Rod met Kas while visiting the temple from his home abbey in Calimport. He saw something in the slave boy and convinced Temples High Priestess to allow Kas be trained under him. Several days later Kas was traveling with his new Master and began learning more about the worship and dogma of the priesthood and monks of the Lady of Pain. They began the long journey toward Calimport, Kas receiving informative (and often painful) lessons along the way.

During the following years, under the watchful eye of his master he displayed great aptitude in his martial and divine prowess. Eventually he was called before his Master in The Abbey of the White Rod, in Calimport and told that he had been chosen for a mission and must leave for the north, toward Baldur's Gate and on to Darkhold, where a senior member of the clergy would give him further instructions.

Since leaving Calimport Kas has joined up with several others who share a goal of reaching Darkhold and learning more of the opportunities there. Though they travel together for various reasons of their own, so far the group has been able to rely and trust in one another when necessary.

Goals: Serve Loviatar's will, punish those who most deserve it, will enjoy it the most or will be most hurt by it.
