Only clerics with domains that give Teleport can actually use runes. Word of Recall I think was added but removed.

Why they remove word of recall? I wanted that spell put in the game. :(

buy a scroll of Teleport at a shop, Maybe you wont need the UMD because it is a Cleric spell. If so a Scroll will let you teleport with out the spells. ((My warlock does this))

It's a wizard spell.

There are only a couple of domains that give teleport.

I used Mirror walk to teleport a few zones away, but most of the time I fail the checks needed. im not sure what skills you need to do mirror walks, anybody have a clue?

it seems like the search skill is what it takes, just going by the description of the spell, ones you are in the mirror plane you need to search for the correct path. wild guess

How does Mirror Walk even work..?

still not sure what helps beat the saves for mirror walk, but its basically the same thing as teleport so far. mark a rune, then cast the spell on your rune. when you fail it gives an interesting little story of what made you fail the attempt.

Mirror Walk is a Search Check instead of a Concentration check.... I'm thinking it should really be 'Survival'.

Certainly won't be used by clerics then. Already too limited on skill points to spend a bunch on something not even improved by their primary stat.

It's why I'm thinking it should be survival if it's not going to be Concentration. It's not like it really breaks the game as it's still a gold sink with the auto-chance to fail.

To be frank I don't think even survival would matter much. If it is a cleric/FS only spell neither of those is going to have any investment into survival and thus it won't be worth the almost guaranteed failure. I would think if they wanted something like this Word of Recall would be most useful and just keep concentration as the requisite skill. I guess I just don't really see what niche this spell fills otherwise. Admittedly I am a complete and total noob when it comes to anything caster based. I've been playing DND for better than 30 years and am just now playing my first "caster."

I'll bring this up on the QA forums. Good points made here.
