Manyshot auto-fires (how to turn off?)

Hello. I took the Manyshot feat and whenever i attack it automatically fires. Is there anyway to stop the manyshot from auto-firing and use basic attacks with rapid shot or am I stuck with manyshot always being used even when its not selected?

It doesn't. You have to select it manually each time to use it. Whatever's happening it isn't automatic Manyshot.

Strange... with my ranger it was only if selected, but since i took the feat manually instead of taking it for free it seems to do manyshot automatically.

I'm guessing you have Order of the Bow Initiate levels?

Having many-shot automatically fire will become a feature you can enable and disable through the player options dialogue. Next patch.

The background is that in terms of damage it helps OOBI's to apply manyshot on the same attack as their precision damage.

I had no idea, thanks for clarifying. Yes I do have OOBI levels. I didn't know manyshot worked with the OOBI damage increase though.
