– Griefing
– Do not grief, as in attacking someone over and over, or, after having been beaten in a duel, get back up rebuff and attack again. Do not use summons which can be sent hostile, such as the warlock's fiendish summon, to circumvent PVP rules. If you are proven to be acting like this, you will be warned and/or removed from the Server. Do not harass anyone OOC. If you are proven to be doing this, you will be booted and/or banned. Being intentionally disruptive to the Player-base is subject to permanent ban from the Server.

On most servers I've worked and played on, Griefing rules were not strictly limited to PVP.
There was also rules in place for RP griefing. The constant and never ending IC harassment of one pc to another without ongoing or continual rp or cause to do so, simply to play the schoolyard bully w/o continued rp reasons to do so.

Does this server include such rp in the griefing rules?
If someone's doing so to the extent that they are diminishing your enjoyment in the rp, is there anything in place to prevent it from continuing?
Is it acceptable to simply say "I'm really not enjoying this, it's affecting my enjoyment in the game, please stop?" if trying to avoid their pc does not seem to work?

I consider griefing as griefing, regardless whether it is done by RP or PvP. If you are not comfortable with following a line of RP, please communicate with the player(s) involved that the RP is uncomfortable for you.

Sometimes it is an honest case of different people with different boundaries, as what one person finds comfortable may be extremely distressing to another, and vice versa, and communication helps to clarify, and likely ease, those issues.

That being said, if this kind of RP has continued over a long period of time and clear communication has done nothing to make the RP more comfortable for you, please report such instances to the DM team, as by then it has gone beyond RP and into harassment/griefing.


edit: The above is written under the condition that all parties involved in the RP are willing to compromise otherwise. This covers situations where you have already compromised and communicated, but the RP remains OOCly distressing for you.
