Background:
Togwitz was born to a small clan of gnomes called Dunburrow. They lived and worked in the metropolis of Warterdeep. The clan consisted of jewelers, inventors and other craftsmen, but they were most known for their skill in gemcutting. Togwitz was raised as any other gnome and he was to take up his parents trade as a jeweler or other traditional gnomish craft. Togwitz however didn't truly care for these trades. He had witnessed many things in the City of Splendor, but nothing facinated him more than magic. He was certain he would grow to be a wizard of note. He talked about it to his parents since he was very young. At first his parents refuge Togwitz wishes, but after years and years of talk and stubborness they evetually let and paid young Togwitz to join one of the arcane academies in the city, Watchful Order of Magists and Protectors. Togwitz studied and later worked as a fire guard for the city for some years. He grew a particular interest in alchemy and became very potent alchemist. This interest grew to a point where he enstablished his own shop selling elixirs and arcane wares in South Ward of the city. His ties to the academy gave him advantage he shamlessly used when he started.
Togwitz had his shop for over a decade and was pleased with it. The shop was close to the walls of Dock Ward of Waterdeep's Great Harbor and it was packed with paying customers. Gold flowed in and his business prospered. However he grew essentric and even a bit lonely throughout the years. A feeling had grown within him that he had to go and see Faerun beyond the City of Splendor. One day he simply decided to sell his shop and set a new course for himself. He sold the building, land and inventory for a extremely good price. It was not long after this that he gathered his things, said goodbye to his family and friends and took a vessel bound south with his faithul companion, Valiant, in his backbag
Goals: Study and experiment on the alchemical ingredients of Sword Coast. Write a book about his discoveries. Continue selling his potions in a small scale. Advance in his arcane studies.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: He sold his former shop in Waterdeep with high price and no questions asked to a questinable character, which after his departure turned out to be agent of Zhentarim. This is causing some misfortune to his family.
