Use of the evil companions needs a boost

Use of the evil companions needs a boost.
Right now the evil beast companions and (very fun, custom content) monstrous companions are limited to the the appropriate alignment druids/ rangers which seem to be very few in number,
OR clerics of Malar...
There is just not enough deity choices that offer evil a chance to use the custom animal companions enough and virtually none in the Underdark!
Can one or more evil focus deities with animal domain be added, please?
I'd suggest possibly:
Baphomet

Orcs and Tanarukk seem like a logical expansion to his worshipers, and even Evil Thaumaturgist Clerics would fit as well.
Would there be other Evil Gods you would think, make better use of these custom content companions, that also add to the complex diversity we enjoy on our server?

My orc used to follow Gruumsh and have monstrous companion as it was slated for deities that would have slaves. Then when domain enforcement went in he had to change Gods to malar.

I once pondered a Tanarukk Cleric summoner, but gave up after looking at the domains.

Baphomet would be awesome. Allowing 'animal' as a domain on other gods (to work mechanically) would also be a good idea.
+1

Cleric domains need an overhaul in general IMO. The enforcement of canon domains does not promote lore-friendly RP; it promotes FS/Clerics and Clerics/DDefenders of Istishia. I believe that aside from obvious limitations such as not taking the Evil domain with a good deity and vice versa, all domains should become available regardless of deity selection.
I'll probably receive a lot of flack for this, but the Istishia cancer is undeniable.

Istishia gets Air, Destruction, Chaos, Water, Travel, and Storm. Do people pick Itisihia just for Evasion? Is there another reason?

Air to retain your divine shield AC while flatfooted and Water to gain access to EW. I don't even know why they (the dev team, the DMs or the QC ?) decided to give Istishia the Air domain. It's neither a canonical domain nor did he need the extra power.

Is it necessary to give out the good Rogue stuff like Uncanny Dodge and Evasion for free? Why not give out Lightning Reflexes or Snake Blood?

Auril is a much better deity. The evil domain allows you to turn all outsiders, so a level 30 EDM cleric ( or a cleric26/Hierophant4 for much better turning ) can solo the balor with ease.
He can even do it naked with only a cold iron weapon

Neither is Chaos.
I think it may be a relic form before Storm was added (which I think is relatively new?). Istishia has Destruction, Ocean, Storm, Travel and Water canonically. With only three domains available, a past staff may have chosen to add Air and Chaos in order to have more choices.
I personally think they should be removed. Because lore!

Yes. Dumberlee as well. That's why you see dumb shit like aasimar

clerics of either of these deities straying so far from their patronesses' natural domains to smite the balor in the graypeaks.
God bless canon domains amirite

But Istishia is "the deity" to worship!
Water + Chaos is the classic combination and it allows neutral unlike umberlee. However, it doesn't stop at Istishia. Mielikki is popular among clerics because of luck + plant, and ghaundaur reigns supreme in the underdark due to the favored weapon of warhammer (which is mimicked by gond or grumbar surface side, where the domains earth + luck is really good).
Yes, it does promote cherry-picking. Some of the new spells might do that as well since they're restricted to certain deities, or an upcoming domain expansion further giving pause for what's desirable.
It's just the nature of the game given the rules. We would see the same thing if there were rules for other classes like that. Like imagine if there was a rule of where your barbarian originate from depending on what kind of rage they choose. You can see this quite clearly with halflings too. Stronghearts don't adventure much, but make up 99% of the halfling server population, while lightfoot halflings are reknown for their adventurous spirit but just aren't picked due to mechanics.

Do not consider this is as a personal attack but...
I would like to know a -reasonable- backstory for a DD of Istishia. I mean...seriously? Tell me that was not a powerbuilding choice.
