Now that dispel has been fixed on the server, why not add blank wands to the shops?

Nobody wants blanks in the shops? Enchanting is one way for a wizard to earn money, after all.

I hate to say it, because I love finding a bone wand as much as the next guy... ...but yeah.

The 5k per wand and the fact that the established wandmakers buy them out and horde them every time one happens to pop up on the auction makes it very hard for new wandcrafters to get into the market. Potion bottles and blank scrolls are available freely for purchase, so why not bone wands?

QC/DM are talking about it.

With UMD massively nerfed due to CL fixes, I'm all for making them easily available and cheapish so characters relying on UMD don't have a very hard time. I'm looking at you low fort rogues and death ward.

Oh goodness, totally yes. You'd think there'd be a market for this a bit more tapped of craftsman that spend their time carving animal bones into wands! That is how it works, right?

Heck, might even be able to propagate some RP for it. Could get one of the wizards in the city to train craftsman of the things, if lacking a reason why to the city's current population.

There are many boney dead things around on the server you can loot perhaps up the chance to find a bone wand on them?

The price of bone wand is either 50 or 150 gold in vanilla game.

While you could probably implement some sort of crafting here, there's just not much point. It is supposed to be relatively cheap item. Well "adventurer cheap", anyway.

Hate to ask, but is there any recommence for those already carrying wands? Between a surface wand crafter and a UD wand crafter I have about 10 wands in inventory, so am I looking at writing off 50,000gp?.

Also, I feel sorry for those buying wands off the AH who don't read forums, seems there have been a bullrush of sellers on the AH the last few weeks

a wand is only worth 57gp or so, not 5000. I mean, why 5000 got attached ot them via auction is a bit of a mystery. I also have many wands in inventory. :/ Oh well. I am happier wands will be cheaper now, and perhaps even affordable to some.

It is not that a big loss, and you can still try to sell them off at the auction.

Wand prices were always nuts on the server, so even if someone will lose some gold, I'd prefer to have wand prices normalized.

It is not that a big loss, and you can still try to sell them off at the auction.

Wand prices were always nuts on the server, so even if someone will lose some gold, I'd prefer to have wand prices normalized.

Oh I voted Yay, just smarting from the gp loss. I'm also not the sort to throw them on the AH and hope the loss falls on someone else

Lost a lot of gold since the update, also takes me a while to adjust to change but carried on regardless and played through all the improvements and bug fixing for a couple of months. Still bugs aplenty though so I might take a break, let things settle down then come back laters.

well they will be worth 3,000g from the vendors so its not like you lost a fortune

and the prices were high bc they were rare, couldnt be bought, wands were really strong, then they lasted forever when the recharger was added

it wasnt till after the recharger was added that it later had a % to destroy wands
