A lot of games I'm introduced to these days seem to have Founders Packs where people can basically pay real world money for various tiered in-game starting items/boosts or "elite" statuses. Some are just $15 for a 3-day headstart with a weeks worth of gold or $30 for an exclusive outfit and forum signet with a particular item or two.

Makes me wonder...

If you could design a Founders Pack(s) for BGTSCC server, what would it include and what would it cost?

I suppose something trivial or flavourful. Guild Wars 2 had a vanity pet and guild hall decoration, for instance.

BGTSCC should never ever adopt any kind of pay-to-win.

I too think it's not in the spirit of BG. However, I do understand the willingness to pay over the alternative.

I've for instance been offered real world money 14 times during my stay here at BG, for items, gold and such. I've always said no out of this principle, even if it has been tempting and continues to be so as the game gets older. Yet there is something inherently wrong about it IMO.

I don't think Selande was suggesting they actually make something like this. It strikes me as a simple curiosity. It's always fun to read the ideas people come up with!

To put fears at ease, this sort of thing will never happen here.

But if you want to speculate and share in a daydream, the conversation may continue!
