Personality Profile: He's generally very impulsive. He is a very free spirit, and will fight to defend any person's freedom. He recognizes that Eiliastree exists and works to redeem the drow, but does not really care and still attacks drow on sight. He's usually not too talkative, but if he doesn't feel endangered he'll speak up. He is perfectly willing to risk his own life fighting for innocents and strangers, and he doesn't ask for payment, but he tends to resent the people he defends afterwards unless they offer proper thanks and honestly understand what heroes risk and lose fighting for them.

Background: Aliyan Yir'fion was born to Anira and Eltei'ni Yir'fion in the spring of 1225 Dalereckoning, Kythorn 12th. Anira was a powerful cleric of Corellon, and Eltei'ni was a Bladesinger. The pair had been travelling with a band of elven warriors to hunt monsters along the Sword Coast and make the trade way safer. When Aliyan was born, his parents would not settle down anywhere, and so he fought with the group almost as soon as he could hold a set of swords. His father began to teach him both arcane magic and martial battle around his twentieth birthday, and he excelled in this style.

This life ended around the summer of his 50th year, when the group encountered a drow raiding party. After a heated battle in which his mother and most of the party were struck dead, Aliyan managed to get behind the warriors and kill the dark elf mages, opening the way for the surface elf mages to obliterate the warriors instead of defending themselves from spell barrages. Aliyan suffered major wounds in the battle, and bears scars to this day. His father was too injured to continue his fighting life, and made his way to Silverymoon where he planned to live out the rest of his days. Aliyan split off from the main group and wandered the coast alone for almost 80 years, at which point he decided to settle down in Baldur's Gate...
Goals: Goals include finding a place with close friends like his band of elves, guarding those who deserve protection, and killing as many dark elves as he possibly can. Also he wants to gather more power.

Eltei'ni Yir'fion: Alive and well in Silverymoon
Niar Telian: Aliyan met him several weeks before arriving at the coast. The four-hundred-year-old mage asked Aliyan to find one of his apprentices among the group, Liethan Firal.
Liethan Firal: This impulsive elven mage is around Aliyan's age, and was last seen by a member of the group in Amn. Aliyan came to Baldur's Gate specifically to find his childhood friend at Niar's request.
Aralin Firal: Liethan's father. He is around 350~ years of age. He is a very powerful bladesinger who still travels with those members of the band who hadn't left. He disdains humans and believes that elves should be separate from the other races.
Kirania Einora: An elven warrior around Aliyan's age, she still travels with Aralin and other members of the original group. She is aloof, rarely speaks, and enjoys the thrill of combat above anything else.
Anira Yir'fion: Aliyan's deceased mother. She was a powerful priest of Corellon Larethian who believed that all people, even the drow, could be redeemed. Aliyan still carries her holy symbol, a silver eight-pointed star amulet with an emerald in the center.
