Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

I'm assuming this is because I'm a specialist caster/Red Wizard, and the script is wonky with the prohibited school code.

My character has Enchantment as a prohibited school, if this is important to know.

all of their abilities have a bigger issue and can be dispelled or removed, which is a known issue and been brought up a few times, one being fairly recent

and im assuming with your particular issue you have rested and it still doesnt apply? since at the moment FMs dont even get their abilities till they rest (or at least mine doesnt)

Correct, that is how I verified it. I took a level with Frost Mage and got the 'the weave denies you' message. I presumed that was from Armor of Frost not working, so I rested to check and got the same message. In either case, my AC hadn't gone up at all.

Was this fixed already, or has it fixed itself after a reset? Armor of Frost is now working for me.

Though I am now getting a random 'Damage Resistance' buff icon that I can't place; I have no idea if that's from the FM ability or from something else.

Seems to be random. It's been working for a few days, but just today it gave me the 'the Weave denies you' message again after resting. It does correspond with the above-mentioned damage resistance icon: When the effect is working, the icon appears, and when it's not, it doesn't.

Bumping this, as it's still an issue.

Frostmage's cold resistance is also not working, tested it today with another frostmage today and no damage was resisted by either of us when using lesser cold orbs. From what we could tell the natural AC bonus is also still not applying, even though the green icon was beside beside my characters portrait.

You tested your cold resistance with another frost mage? The same kind of frost mages that get Piercing Cold and thus bypass cold resistance/immunity with their cold-based spells??

I'll try again with a non-frost mage, although my counterpart said that their Cold Resistance wasn't showing up via icon or on the main character sheet. The icon beside my portrait only said "damage resistance":

the damage resistance is normal, it doesnt specify the type on icon, stormlords have the same thing but the type is specified in the feat that grants it

and a lot of small PrC issues have still not be done, frost mage having to rest before they gain any of their abilities is probably one of them still, so make sure they rest and then see if they still have the issue

For that particular issue, "Weave denies you ..", rest won't fix it. It is because the frost armor AC bonus is given through an enchantment spell automatically cast by the PC on himself, so if the PC lost the enchantment school the ability is blocked.

An exception for Frost armor was added so this should work next update, and it should also not be removed/reapplied each rest anymore.

Roger that. I tested it again by having a someone hit me with some cold spell scrolls and the DR seems to be fine, at least for my FM.

** Edit ** - On a side note, when you get hit by a cold spell and become "damp", the damp icon by your portrait shows as a "bad strref", or whatever the heck it is(the dampness also occurrs even with FM's cold DR).
