Recruitment advertisements

This morning, several advertisements have appeared on different points of the Friendly Arm Inn. Some people assure that the responsibles are a strange group of two dwarfs, a halfling and a silent hooded man that currently are at the inn bar. Well, the pair of dwarves are drinking and eating impossible amounts of roasted deer and beer at the bar, the hin wanders all around the place, trying to talk to everyone he spots or simply watching whatever he finds fascinating. The man stays aolone, sat the table at the furthest corner of the bar.

The following message is written on them:

To whoever may interest:
We are a group of four adventurers, currently looking for more people to join us. If you are looking for profit, adventures and don't fear dark places ask for Thorsson, Grumble, Jacharto, Rabbit or Maxim to the barkeeper inside.
[Something is added with a bad calligraphy at the bottom of some of the papers: Better ask only for Thorsson, Grumble and Jacharto, ignore that mad carrot-eating hin. Is up to you to speak with the half-orc.]

// This group is the currently named Adventure party #4. We are four at the moment, so we have some room for more people who could be interested. Some important points to have into account:

- Our playtime is usually once (sometimes twice) a week. Mondays, sometimes Thursdays and less likely Tuesdays from around 18 GMT to around 20/21 GMT.

- The general background of the party is a bit shady. Neutral or Evil aligned preferable, but keep in mind that the target is not to tryi to conquer Faerun or slay all living creature, just looking for adventure and profit and don't mind to get the hands dirty. Some dark contacts are going to be made in the following playing sessions for some dark tasks...

- We agreed on no muling. Only found or bought items allowed. This is a must.

- All members should have similar xp (we are currently around lvl 13. This will be a flexible point during some time for newcomers.

- Your char to join may be an alt. This means to preferrably only log with him/her for the party sessions and to catch up the rest of us with the xp.

- Our current char types are a fighter, a cleric/bard, two rogues and the brute half-orc. Preferably another types for joining, but not a must.

- We ask for some continuity. This is not a short-term idea.

- Last, but the most important. This adventure party is to have fun RPing for a pair of hours, no more no less. And we are having tons of it. All people who wants to join is welcome, new and old in the server, as long as the previous is OK for you. You can post here of, if you prefer send a PM to us. [The Maskarran]

The next moment that a trio of two dwarves and a halfling find themselves past the portcullis of the Friendly Arm, and are well down the path of the TradeWay, north or south, an example of their advertisement comes to descend from the ether, in distant eyesight before them.

If one or two or all take this moment to investigate the paper, which as they close in upon it they would realize is their advertisement, but more so, contains another set of writing on the backside, a message they would learn.

Several days later the group returns to the Friendly Arm Inn talking about how they filled their bags with the gold they found on some strange tunnels inhabited by goblins just north of Beregost. They order some drink and food at the inn bar to celebrate it and, as usual, the halfling is the first one to end to eat (mostly because the dwarves use to eat an insane and imposible amount of meat). Then, he starts disturbing the inn clients with histories about wet big dogs and creatures that pours out from deep holes. The locals, as usual, try to ignore the hyper-enthusiastic hin, which makes him to soon get bored. With nothing better to do while the dwarfs empty the inn pantry, he sits at the top of the stone stair that leads to the inn interior gate and sighs watching the people passing by.

After some time, the dwarves finally go out, making noises that only a dwarven belly could create.

Look Grumble, for once carrotop is sit quiet. Thorsson says. He starts to laugh, but a noisy burp makes him stop.

Yes, that's odd. Grumble answers. Are you OK Rabbit?

The hin turns his head with his usual smile. Aye Grum! I was reading that magical paper I found the other day. I completely forgot about it... Can you believe it!? He adds with an innocent expression as he widely opens his eyes. Sadly, it's not a magical spell. is face turns sad, but just for an instant.

Paper? Spells? What in the Nine Hells are ye talking about hin? The two dwarves frown looking to Rabbit.

Ooooooooooh yes... Now that I remember... I didn't tell you about that paper that appeared from nowhere descending in the air... A big smile appears on his face as he shows one of the advertisements they wrote. It seems someone has answered. He turns it to show some message written on the back of the paper.

What!? Why didn't you tell us? Grumble quickly grabs the paper from the halfling's hands and the dwarves start reading it.

A man dressed in a red cloak and in the lightest form of chain can be seen sitting in a corner of the inn, quietly sitting, smoking a pipe. From time to time he can be seen looking up ever so slightly, clearly trying to keep an eye on everyone walking in and out.

After a while he gets up, walks to the barkeep and mumbles something, after paying a couple of gold to the barkeep.

Should any of the adventurers return, the barkeep would tell them that a man is looking for them with an offer that might interest them, and that he will return to look for them again on the 4th of Flamerule, at the start of the evening.

A large half-orc enters the tavern, wearing some kind of tribal armor and furs. He glances around spots the dwarves eating. He licks his lips with hunger and then turns to the bartender. "I'd take a big roast, like these!", pointing at the dwarves' meat. His eyes are widened, as if he hadn't had a good meal for days. He looks between the dwarves and the cook several times impatiently. Suddenly, he asks : "Hu, by the way, is there some Thorasson, or Rabbit, or... no not rabbit meat! Some called like that."
As he is pointed to the ones concerned, he goes to the dwarves : "Hey, I'm here for you, I'm Maxim." He grins and follows : "I learned about the deal : we go to dark places and get loot. Then we can eat and drink a lot! That's good for me."
He turns his head as there is a shout : his roast arrives and he cheers.

A short chat takes place at the tavern between the group and the half-orc, in which the dwarves looked to him with an initial suspicious glance from behind their meal, the hooded man only participated shrugging once and the hin jumped around the table saying something about carrots and roasted venison.

After they wait for the dwarves to eat all their food and drinks their beers, (a long time in which the hin had time to go outside and come back inside twice and throw down a chair after another jumping session) the five of them go out the tavern together.

One noticeable point is that the advertisements around the Friendly Arm Inn now have a new name on them.
