Trying to log into the old website to get my pms on there having issues. Can we still log in?

I can't log into the old forum to do anything, let alone back up PMs.

All of your PM's from the Old forum should have been transferred to this one.. except for the last week or so.

Good news and bad news.

Bad news first.

Sitegrounds, the host for bgtscc1.com, has updated their hosting service. This update has made our version of phpBB incompatible with our host's platform, and only Luna has the privileges required to fix it. As a result, and quite sadly, this means that bgtscc1.com is dead. We will mourn its loss.

Means old forums are broken and can't be fixed without Luna.

Our last backup was on June 4th (early in the day), and the forum went down on the 6th. So you may have lost as much as two days total.

I migrated all the public posts, the private guild posts, and all of the PMs that came in to the DM group either Sunday or last night (four class applications and a couple player request posts).

I was not able to salvage PMs between users if I was not a recipient of the PM, however, so there may be a couple days of lost PM data.

The PMs on the old forums that came from me were just instructions to the people who still had cached access to come to the bgtscc.net website -- if you're in multiple user groups or guilds you may have received up to 3 PMs from me.

We will begin migrating all traffic from the old forum to this forum this weekend, but wanted to leave it up for right now for anyone who does still have cached access to the forum the opportunity to save any last minute PMs they might have there that didn't get migrated over to the new forum.

You should remove all forums on the old forum and put a giant notice instead, with the new forum adress.

We're not able to. I've been able to edit the counter for the site to show that we're migrating, but I don't think anyone has more access than that. It's a good idea, but unfortunately not possible ( I think. Don't kick me if I'm wrong ).

The bright side is that everybody will be redirected here anyway after sunday

Big thanks to those working on the forum transfer! In very real terms a lot of history has been saved!

Thanks BTR! We're planning to reach out once we switch servers as well, after we set up the new IP and port and go live -- if it's necessary (it may be automatic). For example, I think the description on nwnlist is just pulled from the server's connection description page, which we still need to change.
