Hard to say. The module has been very unstable lately. After the latest one I disabled the Gamespy Watchdog since I don't think it's very reliable.
Let us know if it remains problematic.

crashed again (4), and it was very laggy just after coming up with only ~9 people online.

Is there an issue with tinkering with the wizard spells?
Recently rcred a wizard and I were busy learning new spells from scroll at the first two crashes.
At the last and final one I tried dismissing all spells using the new interface.
