Hi all,
I noticed we 2 kind of flails:

1)
Has 1d8 base damage makes cirts on rolls 20 and multiply for 2
This one is a medium weapon that has a bludgeoning damage type

2)
Has 1d6 base damage makes cirts on rolls 19-20 and multiply for 2
This one is a light weapon that has a piercing damage type

Question is :

"Type2"
Is it finessable ? To double the crit threat scope needs keen or weapon of impact? It bypass undead damage reduction ?
Basically "type2" is an improved version of the "type1" or no?

Cheers

Second type is akin to a shortsword. Crit range is doubled with Keen Edge (not Weapon of Impact) to make it 17-20 x2. It's damage type is piercing, so relevant Damage Reductions apply (eg. Skeletons/zombies will be resistant). Rogues are also proficient to use them without requiring the Martial Weapon feat.

It was added because the first (bludgeoning) type is not usable in the Off-Hand. These 1d6 ones can be. I still have no idea if they work with Weapon Finesse.

then basically "type2" is a short sword with new visuals right ?

it could be interesting if it accept finesse

Can someone check if it does accept weapon finesse? Also, I noticed for oversize two-weapon fighting feat..it includes light flails..so someone dualed a regular fail(medium size) and a small flail (small), do you still need to take that feat to reduce penalities???

no and no, both feats are redundant when wielding a Flail & a flail ;)
