Buld advice required: Drow Rouge or Fighter

I was thinking about rolling a drow for quite some time now and I have a quite clear picture in my head about how the RP is going to look like, but I really have no idea how to build it. The fact how the toon fights is really not that important, that is not a core part of the RP I have in mind.

There are two things I want:

- It should be drow
- It should not use any magic (UMD is ok, but it shouldn't be the core part of the build), assasin spells are ok if that is so much better then the other options
- It should be meele

Now, I have no idea if that is more viable as a sneak, or some kind of meele warrior.

And I'm pretty bad at building, so could you also suggest not only a class pick, but a more detalied build, perhaps?

Thank you in advance.

I would say sneak.

Search on the builder for Dzidek's BGTSCC: Underdark Champion. I came across it and it looks absolutely beastly.

Hmm, thanks.

What playstyle you reccomend? I'm asking becuse this build gets HiPS quite late. Until then what should be the general strategy?

Good builds aren't defined by a single feat.

Goblins until 4. Lizards until 12. At level 7 your H/MS becomes useful against the lizards without needing HiPS to take out the casters, then work on the remainder. Take potions of some DR with you. Treat it as a normal fighter. Crossbow things to aggro individuals for range then swap to Scim when they approach.

Team up with a caster for buffs, does not matter which class of caster.

If solo use consumables (potions, wands and scrolls) to buff up.

Do not ignore the humble conviction spell scroll for save increases.

Good buys from Ithic:
Heroism scroll
Protection from evil scroll (fades fast! use in areas with mind affecting mobs)
Barkskin potion
Mirror image scroll
Conviction scroll (for areas and chests where good saves are handy)
Spider skin scroll (might not be able to use that one depending on what gear you buff UMD with. Heroism and maybe an Eagles splendor can do the difference here.)
Heal potions

Good buy from the gemcutter hin:
Potion of lesser vigor (nice pricing)

Good buys from the Elixir in south Sshamath:
Mage armor potion (buy 2 for every barkskin you bought)
Greater stoneskin potion (you only need that one in rough places)

May darkness keep you. ;)

/M

This in particular. You can launch your first attack from stealth, meaning you can turn on PA/IPA and do a bunch of damage. After the first attack, if they're still alive (remember you have DA too), you can switch it off to get more hits - you're not on Sneaker AB.

This was a build I was tinkering with a while back. Switch race to drow for even more broken

Hmmm, next to zero damage against sneak immunes until level 25? AC is low too. Not certain why you think that's better than the standard Ro16/Asn9/IB5 sneaker, which also gets Death Attack.

Thanks for all the tips and such!

I do have another question though.

Should I use shields, or weapon + off hand weapon with this build? I guess the latter, but I ask just in case.

Naw man, you pick how you want your character to be, then you build. Do you want him to go sword and board, or not? There a great builds for all options.

I have no preferences, honestly, this time I guess what works best.

I'm ok with both, so shamless powerbuilding now? I have no experience with any of the styles in nwn2.

No really, the advice is good. Decide what sort of character you want to play and then go from there. You'll have no fun if you don't p[lay the sort of character who fires your imagination.

Well, martial skills were never the main part of this RP concept of mine, but sure...then I guess a dual-wield build?
