Hello,
In regards to this build from TeoDeathDealer:
http://nwn2db.com/build/?198042#comments
I'm looking into the Daggerspell Mage PRC, and while I find it interesting, I have to ask. Is it a melee gish PRC? Or HIPS and RTA spells mostly? Non-melee type correct? No save type of spellcaster?
Im totally inept in builds so please forgive if it's a basic question.

Looks like the idea is use Invisible Needle with Sneak Attack. The issues with the plan are these:
1. For SA you have to be within 30'; so you will need to be able to "kite" away after 'firing'
2. You only get one spell per round, so damage is on the low side (9d4 IN say + 5d6 SA = 40 average).
Fully buffed you could possibly melee, but the AB would be low and you get less attacks than a proper TWF sneaker. You can always cast other spells, but it's an indifferent caster.
Bit of a Jack of 2 trades.

That build would be sooooo much better off replacing Wizard with Warlock.

I saw those builds and seriously leaning towards it myself

It really does slay everything. Virtolic Eldritch spear + Walk Unseen Hideous Blow Sneak Attack + HiPS Hideous Blow Sneak Attack = dead foe.

So I have been playing this build for a while, and quite enjoy it. He's a svirf..i had to drop blindfight to make the feats fitt and went a different route for the invocations with the exception of the basics, i.e. hideous blow, L & B, etc.
My question is in regards to weapons. Dagger being the obvious choice for the class. But when battling sneak attack immune monsters, should I carry a set of slashing and bludgeoning weapons as well? Or do I just use blasts for those spawns? Pew pew-pew-pew pew?

Fist off, I'd like to say how fun the Gish can be, Specifically in a group.
Secondly, I'd like ot offer a better (in my opinion) build:

Third, Try using greater invis and attacking enemies. For immune enemys, let them have it with spells... but for the most part, I buff to kingdom come and just attack everything in Tensers Transformation.

In fact, in that build you can drop Able learner if you build it carefully, swapping Warlock and DsM levels (taking 10th level of DsM at 30 to maximize Hide and Move Silently). It's possible, I have a drow made this way.
There are another options, like taking Dark Transient instead of Blindfight. Or slightly changing the stats. Even to take 3 levels of Bodyguard (aka Neverwinter Nine) instead of Rogue (my personal choice). But this is up for the player and his/her tastes.
And yes, it slays hard once you have Vitriolic + HiPS.

IMO is not necessary. Hideows Blow hits even if you deal few damage with the daggers. And you can also hit with blasts from the distance, use HiPS and repeat. Or cast Wall of Perilous Flame too plus the previous; it makes wonders with undeads. Another option is Chilling Tentacles.

For Sneak/mage I like a build Thids directed me to a while back. haven't tried it, but I think it is similar to the idea of a F/M/T ala 2nd edition rules. Gets BAB 21, PTWF, CL25, HiPS, AT for SA damage with RTA's, and 7d6 SA damage. Being a 'jack of all trades' it has some issues such as the CL25 being very dispelable, the BAB being rather low for a gish, but shouldn't be an issue with buffs. Basically you don't do as much sneak attack damage as a true sneak, you don't have as high a CL as a gish needs to be protected from dispels and you don't have a great BAB, but what you do have is more damage than most gish builds via 7 d6 extra damage with PTWF for 3 Sneak attacks out of stealth, wizard buffs required, but add to both survivability and attack/damage potential. One of these days this will probably become a main character build of mine as I really like it's potential.
Anyway, this is not the original build, it's a build I made to try some day, but might be to your liking as you can start with an RTA and then generally go to hand to hand using HiPS so long as you aren't dispelled.

Thanks for the great input everyone. I'm fairly convinced I would like to RP a svirf Daggerlock though. I've search the forums for the different daggerspell mage topics and came up with this one. Any thoughts? It's pretty feat starved so I had to choose wisely (or not lol). I took two non epic feats in the epic levels though, unfortunately. I like Dark Transient but not sure if something is better? I like the Diplomacy skill, wish I could add more :/
Just looking for a little different twist on the "traditional" Daggerlock.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Does the build have 14d6 blast or 16d6 blast? I don't think the blasts from Practiced Invoker show up? Nor does it count towards Eldritch Master. And I don't think the AC from unfettered defense appears in the builder either.

Moral obligations prevent me from commenting on a CHA 4 build.

An interesting and different build. The problem is, as you said, that is feat-starved because of the IB class, that requires to take both Combat Expertise and Feint.
I think it would work much better with a race that had an extra feat, so you can have some room. Mechanically speaking, some other classes (rogue or Bodyguard for example) work better to qualify for DsM. In this case you would have room in epics for Expose Weakness, for example.
But, if you go svirf and IB, some changes I would make:
- As you take Feint, I would go for full Bluff, so you can take advantage of the feat.
- I personally (not mandatory) would start with 18 dex and use those extra points in str, swapping one Epic Eldritch Blast for a Great Dexterity. You lose 2.5 damage from the blast dice each round but have +1 with each hit, and the most sure is that at least two hits will land each round, so it's not a great loss. And carrying more stuff is always nice.
- Another option is to swap both Epic Eldritch Blasts for Epic Prowess + Expose Weakness.
