Augmenting number of range items

I'm pretty sure this has been suggested before, but here it comes:
Would it be possible to raise the cap of arrows, bolts and bullets to 999 and shuriken, throwing axes, darts to 500?
I've seen it done in NWN1. I think it should be possible here as well?
