Nwn2 toolset directX problems

As an attempt of trying to learn something useful, I tried to open the toolset.

And, well problems arised.

I figured out that I need the old Directx (2009 march), but my comp does not let it to be installed, becuse (after checking out the error logs), it thinks I have a newer one.

But without it, the toolset crashes.

Help, please?

Depending on your installation, a redis folder should be available to you with the March 2009 DX9 install binary and cab files. Does that exist on your drive?

It's a GoG version, and I tried getting the files directly from someone who copied it from an original disk.

Same problem.

sfc /scannow > scan.txt

Ensure dotnetfx, dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64 and NetFx64 have been run prior to the DX9c install. You might be missing prerequisites.

I remember it was a huge pain to get my Toolset working. I forget what I did exactly. But maybe one of the regular area builders can help you out?

I'll point the dev team to this thread to see if any of them have any ideas about how to get the Toolset working on a newer OS. I'm sure at least one of them has had to upgrade their computers since this game came out!

From a clean install of 8 last week, the aformentioned in my previous post brought me back into the toolset.

I'm running Windows 10 x64 and I definitely don't have the old Dx9 stuff running. Ill look at my settings and see how I got it running. It used to crash on me a lot but I got it working.

The scan closes itself instantly, I might be doing something wrong.

I do have all of that three mentioned, though. Still does not work.

Did it create a scan.txt file in the directory you ran it in?
