Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

Hi there. I'm new. Been here for... 2-3 days? Not sure I think I stayed up for a couple days straight making new characters trying to find one I wanted to play. Anyways, I think I want to play warlock. Originally I wanted to play a Lawful Evil Warlock/WoD/Rogue. But it turns out my character is more Chaotic good. So, I need some help figuring out my back story, I know a few aspects I want (that'll help me as I know very little about the Lore); I want him to come from a small town far removed from BG (Red Larch maybe?). I was hoping I could have him know nothing about how he has his abilities (Maybe an ancestor of his made a "Pact Insidious", and for some reason the demon/devil/extra-planar-being has decided to give this young half elf some power, for yet to be decided price. But that's all I could think of. Is that enough, or do I need more?

The idea of a fiend giving you power despite being good is not too far fetched. Fiends crave both amusement and corruption and what could be more ironically amusing and corrupting then giving a good character power only for that good character to eventually learn he is getting power from evil and then have that character sent to hell when he dies despite all the good he has done. If I were a fiend I would definitely do something like that. Its far too good an opportunity to waste lol.

There are other pact types as well, if you're interested in playing good. Quite a few feylocks have come through the server. Possibilities exist also for elemental, celestial and draconic pacts. I believe those are 4th edition (or homebrew) so it may be a good idea to get a nod from the DM team prior to creating it. A bit ago Rasael, the Lead Developer, made a post of Warlock Kits he's working on. Some of the invocations/spells he created already made it in game which specifically names those pacts so maybe only a matter of time before they're introduced

Yeah. I read some of that. I want my character to be completely unaware of how he's gotten his powers though, and thus unaware of all the things I don't know. I will read more of it when I am able though, as I do not want to be ignorant.
