Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

Next to the graveyard, in the merchant's square of the farmlands, a dwarf has settled his desk with several wares on it. At the corner of the desk there is a sign where is attached a list of all the items and few words in capital letter above all: "OPEN AUCTION OR TRADE"
*The dwarf just sits on a chair awaiting for his customers, he's sure they will arrive*

The list says:

Shocking Longsword +3 (( Longsword +3, Electrical 1d4 ))

Mithral Chain Shirt (( AC: 4, Max Dex Bonus: 6, Light Armor ))

Tower Shield +4 EB

Dwarven Balanced Wall (( Tower Shield +3, Dexterity +3 ))

Shadow Defender (( Tower Shield +2 , Displacement 1/day, Bonus Feat: Dash, +4 Hitpoints, Weight Reduction 10% ))

A woman clad in armour from neck to foot with a tyrran cloak comes by interrupting her patrol and checks out the Greatsword. With the permission of the seller, she would try a few quick moves, looking for flaws in the design. But there seem to be none.

She smiles briefly at says to him: "Good dwarf," she would offer a short bow, "what can you tell me about this Greatsword? It is indeed a fine blade. I'll give you 80 bags for it."

"Don't let that woman insult yeh, kin" a female dwarf says "That is clearly the work of a master smith, even a child would recognise that. I give yeh 250 bags and a keg of ale for it."

A large half orc with a cloak and hood pulled over his head approaches the dwarf and hands him a note. It reads "Mi giv u 500 bags of coin for big blade."

The dwarf slowly stands up from the chair.

"Well, dear friends, you finally came. So we've got three offers here and i want to read to everyone what this tough guy *points the half-orc* has written. He says : I will give you five hundred thousand gold coins for the sword.
So we have a bid that seems to win but i like gold as much as i like rare items. At the moment i am looking for some interesting warhammer or full plates.
I will await a bit to allow you to show me what piece of equipment you can offer, otherwise i'll sell the sword to the hooded richest one *points the half-orc again*. Thanks my dear friends"

After that he sits back on the chair and turns his gaze to the square, awaiting for other customers or other offers.

After the dwarf address the small group. The half orc starts to reply in a slow drawn out husky voice

"Well if gold not get me da big sword. Brax giv yous shinny light full plate. It not fit Brax gud much!"

"Well, it seems that you have both the thing i'm looking for: gold and rare items. Unfortunately i've been told by a friend that this greatsword will be valued more and that other people could be interested, so i will await more time.
Furthermore i think you can raise your offer including the mithral full plate and some bags of gold, like three hundred or maybe adding a very powerful warhammer if you have one, i would love to get one of them. That will be an offer on wich i'll think very carefully.
We have only to await, just a little more."
*The dwarf turns his glance to the farmlands, looking for possible customers*

The half orc stands there confused for a few moments. The look on his face seems to be one of heavy contemplation. After a bit he shakes his head in agreement.

"I can give yous lots of coin and shiny armor. me wait and see if someone want big sword more and have gold. Brax not have any hammer for you"

He frown after he states the last part. and after a few more moments he walks back and finds a nice spot under a tree to sit at.


//OOC: I figured you were waiting for the full 48. And I will meet your request of 300 bags and MFP even though i do think its a little steep. but i can use the sword more than i can use the armor And i hope this doesnt reset the 48 hours.. lol

The armoured Knight leaves the premises already forgetting she bid for the weapon. She clearly doesn't care for such exorbitant bids.

Many kids running through the crowded square are delivering Dorum several notes, He reads them and smiles. It looks like those kids are working for different bidders hidden between the people, raising the offers continuously.
"I think 48 hours won't be enough for this, i will await until only one of you will remain" says Dorum highly enough to be listened by the kids, then smiles and return to his chair.

The dwarfen woman listens to the wild tales of that dwarf.

"Yeh can tell us all dat ye want, i for meself have not seen a single piece of gear other than that of that halforc dere. Biddin against faery tales, that's outrageous, And that from a kin."
She spits and walks off.

A young lady with a shining scimitar left a note and quickly disappeared in the dark.
"50K for the ring of Knight"

"Well seems that today the best way to make an offer is to leave a note and disappear. Anyway, if you're still here and can listen to me i accept your bid. We can make the exchange whenever you want, i am here"
