Question in regards to Arcane-Fire

Archmage has the feat called "Arcane Fire".

I got a cuple of questions in regard to this feat, and how it works in regards to a Sorcerer.

I'm told that you click on "Spontaneous conversion" after having activated the toggle feat you get (On/off respectfully).

However, since Sorcerers already have spontaneous conversion available (you click it and weird stuff happens, like growing whiskers of have thousands of tiny explosions around you happen). Does the game simply switch between your natural spontaneous conversion (random stuff) and the Arcane fire (1d6 magic per level of spell)? Has anyone actually had Arcane-Fire on a sorcerer that can tell how it works.

As to the 1d6 magic damage per level. Do I read that correctly?

Cantip: 1d6
1: 2d12
2: 3d18
3: 4d24
4: 5d30
5: 6d36
6: 7d42
7: 8d48
8: 9d54
9: 10d60

I'd imagine the dice as follows:

Cantrip: 1d6
1: 2d6
2: 3d6
3: 4d6
4: 5d6
5: 6d6
6: 7d6
7: 8d6
8: 9d6
9: 10d6

As in my opinion it would be weird if the dice would double, along with the amount of dice. But, as the "in my opinion"-part kinda states, I'm not sure, so you'll have to wait for someone more knowledgable than me if you want to know for sure ;-)

Damage is 1d6 /archmage level + 1d6/ spell level. There is no saving throw and SR is ignored.

A level 9 spell converted in this manner by a 10th level archmage deals 19d6 unresistable magic damage (subject to making a ranged touch attack).

It is utilised with the spontaneous conversion toggle. Note that if you use the spontaneous conversion toggle without the Arcane Fire archmage feat, truly weird things happen.

You mean fun things. It's useful for RPing careless sorcerers and experimental wizards.

Small correction here, Its 1d8 per archmage level and spell level not 1d6.
