Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

Hey guys.

Seems like just a month ago I was writing the greeting. (Which I was.) But I thought I'd take a moment to let the community know that after a long deliberation, I'm going to be letting Alexander Marshall go. I'll still be on the forums, and in-game, but I'm going to retire my long-standing character, and perhaps eventually pursue something else.

I have no plans for another character yet. To be honest, I've had Alexander for so long, I'm not sure where to start. I have some great friends here, and I'm sure some of you might be irritated with the decision, but I want to stress that I've loved my little RP troupe, and this community as I've tried to bring myself back into the Coast. This is not my own farewell, simply Alexander's swan song. If you'd like to, we can plan out some closure for anyone that feels like it's necessary, but I'd prefer keep it short, as it's much easier to rip off the bandage and move on, as opposed to drawing it out and second-guessing these often difficult decisions.

For those of you I've gotten to know through Alexander. Thank you. So much. This community has been tremendous to me, and I'm truly lucky to have had the support that I have. If you're interested in any sort of plotline, or have a character that you'd like to see brought to life, maybe I can do that.

**Note - None of the Candlekeep leadership have approved retirement for Watcher Marshall.**

I've only had a few interactions with marshall but he was interesting nonetheless, with great ties to tragedies from the past. Perhaps put him somewhere to allow cameo appearances for plot?

I will look forward seeing new characters built.

Curses! Medune needed to have the "talk" with alexander about courting Alexandra and giving approval.

Either way i look forward to see what you do next.

I should note that this kind of ennui is common amongst once powerful characters who return in a new era. It is possible to avoid but quite difficult to do so.

Oh well, this happens to us all, dont get worn out sticking to a concept and character if you aint feeling it.

I've said the bulk of everything during our Skype conversations; you know how I feel. You'll be beyond missed, but I understand the reasons why you have to retire.

And we'll still yap on Skype, so there's that. I love you, buddy.
