Is it possible to get this feat added? It would literally benefit 2 other invocations.. Not sure why it isn't already implemented?
Edit: Added Poll

Ain't that the one which allows you to cast while in shape-shifted form?

Yeah, Guttural Invocations is the Warlock equivalent of Natural Spell.
I remember asking the same question when I first started playing here. I was told it wasn't implemented because of balance reasons.

What balance? Druids are amazing pve and warlocks don't even come close to that.. Lol

Use of Gutteral locks the warlock out of better AC (light shields, enhancement bonus from items, divine shield, etc), epic spells, and UMD. UMD being pretty major in order to supplement their lack of diversity with their own normal spells.
From a mechanical standpoint, gutteral+word of changing is actually sh*ttier (though, gutteral does provide a viable "oh sh*t" button for most PvE and some events [if the DMs are spawning anything that could be considered threatening, it won't do for that]). Its not really a balance issue at all.
Add in the feat, I say. Its a whole lot better than WoC being worthless. And before anyone says "b..but word of changing is such a brilliant tank" ... 50% concealment, 10 DR and a relatively simple 50+ AC (Mithril Breastplate, Light Shield, ICE) is more than enough to tank (not to mention mirror image and IMA wands you can get from UMD and the possibility of Divine Shield, both of which aren't even necessary). Gutteral removes the need to acquire gear (unless someone dispels you ofc) so its floor is quite a bit higher than a none-gutteral warlock's, but its ceiling is so far lower than a none-gutteral warlock's is.

I was told that warlock WoC doesn't actually use the shape shift rules and doesn't use your AC items. Are you telling me it does?

Warlock WoC is a polymorph not a wildshape. It doesn't transfer any equipment.

Remember it is a RP server not a power server

So demons can't speak common or cast invocations?

Word of Changing isn't supposed to polymorph the warlock. It is supposed to turn your enemies into frogs and squirrels. Like "Baleful Polymorph" (
http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/balefulPolymorph.htm ). The only polymorph invocations warlocks are supposed to have are "Hellspawned Grace", which is supposed to turn the warlock into Hellcat (and not a Hellhound) and Dark Discorporation. In the same fashion, there's no "Guttural Inovcations" feat in PnP. Meaning all this is a homebrewed nonsense.
The question about casting while polymorphed was asked beffore, and response from DM Narshe was that you cannot cast while polymorphed unless you're a druid with a "Natural Spell" AND are using wildshape.
Meaning if you want to use invocations while polymorphed, you should roll a warlock/druid. There was a fairly successful warlock/druid in the past (ran by RedSorcerers's player).

Bumping this thread to add a poll. I really do think it would be nice to be able to use hideous blow in demon form. If druids can get casting while shifted, why shouldn't warlocks? They only get 2 forms, its not like its a big change.

Alternatively! A druid/warlock with natural spell can cast warlock spells while polymorphed! Into druid shapes xP
