Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

Hey these guys are more powerful than Valgoth and just slightly more dangerous than the dracolich. I do not think they should be this tough on a scale comparison to Valgoth who guards the entrance to the boss and they should not be more powerful than the boss for sure.

Also is it just me or are the Lich's in that area able to dispel a level 30 caster as well? I noticed one of them dropped my True Seeing. Forgive me but is the point of a 30CL build if a PvM monster that is not even a boss or mini boss can dispel you?

Some creatures have higher CL than PCs. What's wrong with that?

...its a LICH... it is not suppose to be a push over

higher than 30 CL is a mechanical issue where the dice rolls are concerned

The dracolich is not weaker than a cryptkeeper.

Cryptkeepers can probably dispel level 30 PCs, yes. They're level 30 themselves after all, just like Valgoth. Neither has more CL than their level. There is not a single NPC enemy out there with a CL higher than 30 (outside of DM made NPCs.)

However, I'm sure you just gave the developers some good ideas to remedy that

that was not a recommendation for further development btw

giving npcs weighted dice would make a grand mess of things, and i wouldn't go down that road

Was it a Greater Dispell or a mords?

CL30 characters cannot be dispelled since Gr. Dispel is capped. There must be an issue with the CL of true seeing.

got that from an old post about turn undead:

Very few enemies go beyond HD30, the ones that do are:
Crypt Keeper (34)
Valgoth (34)
Dracolich (50)
........

HD for level and HD for turn undead are two different things, turn resistance which all three of those have will increase HD against turning without increasing the level

I believe it was either a G.Dispell or I think the Lich's in VOD have PILFER MAGIC. I could not tell since the Lich cast it from Invisible I was not able to get a spell cast on my combat log. There is no way a regular monster Lich casts Mords. This was just a normal everyday lich. Not a boss lich like the Crypt Keeper or Valgoth.

Maybe not in HP but that dracolich does not scare me in the slightest. Where a Cryptkeeper in the VOD I only chance if I want to die for some odd reason. They have more HP than Valgoth and their magic hits more and harder. I am not sure what is going on but that just does not seem right to me. Point being fully buffed I took down Valgoth in less than a minute. Fully buffed I took down the Cryptkeeper by chance because I cast a Mass Heal and killed him and got lucky. He was stomping me down with ease. There is something off about the CR of a Cryptkeeper compared to Valgoth and the Dracolich.

things can get worked on when other things stop getting added to the list that draw attention away from pending changes
