Why is it Druids get Frost Weapon and wizards/sorcs do not? Is this an oversight or working as intended?

Can Wizards get frost weapon considering we have Frost Mage PRC.. fits some RP.

This seems to indicate they should get it...

I'm okay with arcane casters getting it, but the duration needs to be low like blades of fire.

It's fine to be same duration. I just want it for RP flavorz

Why? Blades of Fire's duration is so short it is useless.

Agreed, short uses just to drop a troll or two.

It can be extended by the spell minor extension, can it not?

I've had difficulty finding which spell actually works with spell extension.

For the only few spells it should actually be useful for, the 1 round or extended 2 rounds spells I can't see any that last with Minor Spell extension. And its not even said if spell extension would do so for all your spells cast, or just the last one you did.

I have to agree, blades of fire duration is pretty pathetic.

Unless you're a Ranger! It is primarily a Ranger spell as it applies the fire to dual wielded weapons. Flame Blade would make more sense to cast for other characters IMO, though Flame Blade gets the much better min/lvl duration...

If you guys feel that gishes need a little more power because of some of the last years more recent changes, then I'm fine by increasing the duration. I mean you can't quite build them the way you used to and not pay for it. They are still very good in my opinion though.

I think it lasts a round a level if I'm not mistaken? Making just 2 rounds a level would be wonderful. Specially in addition to adding it to frost weapon and giving frost weapon to wizards. Would be appreciated.

I think keeping it one round a level would be plenty of duration, 60 rounds at CL 30 if extended. Just doesn't need to be nerfed into obscurity like blades of fire. And yes, I had gishes in mind when I suggested this, as they took a big hit in effectiveness.
