Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

A stocky fellow sits near the other trade stalls within the walls of the Baldur's Gate. He sits calmy, nibbling on stale bread with a half empty flagon to his side. When any interested parties make their way over, he gives them a once over before speaking.

"These baubles are fer sale. Make an offer and if it be good enough, we'll work somethin out! Below that are things I'm looking fer!"

An armored pale water genasi greets the man : "I saw from a distance the blade you have here, let me have a look."
He nods after running his fingers on the blade : "This is a very fine katana. I'd buy it for 20'000 gold pieces. Is this acceptable, sir?"

"That does, that does! What be your name?"

At tall, dark haired man clad in plate mail approaches the stall and looks at the goods. After a while he notices a ring and makes an offer.

Hmmm, not sure i have 80 bags to hand. I might be able to go to 65 bags

"I, however, do 'ave 80 vor zhat ring," pipes up a hooded halfling who speaks with a strong accent, appearing from one of the nearby buildings from which she had apparently been watching the merchant for some time. "Vould you have a deal, monsieur?"

As the owner of the ring walks off in the distance, the stout turns to the halfling with an apologetic look. "Palogies sir, that one has the ring" *points to the figure that previously stood there* "Times are tough, hope ye understand."

He then goes on to update his list.

An intense stare of absorbed concentration returns from the hin until the point she is called 'sir.' Her eyes would narrow considerably.

"Oh I understand perfectly, sir," she replies with a sly grin and a somewhat mocking tone of voice. "I am still fifteen thousand gold pieces richer zhan you are."

And with that she turns tail and disappears amongst the shadows of the buildings in the FAI courtyard.

Tad would offer 200 bags for Monks belt, and wonder? if it is the right price.
Also would show intricate but sturdy heavy crossbow to the seller, and point at belt of mischief. He would only need one of these two belts, so Tad would indicate that its up to the seller which one of his offers to accept.
Bleak Death, Epic

"I'm called Loon.", says the water genasi, "If you wish to conclude the trade later, let's meet inside the FAI tonight."

A gnome with a hood comes running : "I heard of this!", he says as he pants. "I'll buy the Belt for 250 bags! My name's Garlic". He smiles to Holdin.

A shady figure approaches Holdin.
Without a word he draws close to him holding something in his hand hidden by a blanket.
He removes the blanket letting Holdin see a number of crossbows.

"Have a look" the figure simply states in a low and emotionless voice.
