The Adventures of Aston and Little Xel:
Aston Meets Little Xel: a Partnership of Strength!

Dear Diary,

Last night, I met three stalwart companions. Not just companions to me; no, I mean companions of justice. I bumped into them (literally!) while traveling on the Trade Way, and overheard them talking about going vampire-slaying.

Well, I'll admit they didn't look like much at first. Two of them, Vala and Chloe, were young ladies without so much as a scrap of leather armor to cover their necks. And the third, Xelarian, seemed like just your standard hunter.

Well, that all goes to show that even the keen eyes of a Helmite can be mistaken! By Helm's Vigilant Backhand, I haven't seen such vampire-smashing since I was in a caravan with those Lathanderites in the 1340s!

To make an outstanding night even better, Xelarian loaned me a blade to use, seeing as how I had no gear to speak of (I know, I know, I criticized the young ladies for wearing no armor, but that's just different, all right? And also, I know no good Helmite is ever caught without his gear, but selling my gear was the only way to keep that poor pig farm running! Little pigs are so cute.)

Anyways, Xelarian's blade really grew on me, and Xelarian let me keep it! Bless his heart of gold. So I named the blade Little Xel, and the two of us are going to have many outstanding adventures together!
