Entering his fifth year of school, it is time for Antimar to start his apprenticeship. He asks around the school to see what research senior necromancers are performing. Hoping someone is doing something he finds interesting, and wants assistance.

Our adventure group, four strong, has decided to change things up and try playing drow instead for awhile. Would anyone be interested in providing quest hooks for us?

We meet on Sundays at 1800 GMT.

Our necromancer just hit level 5, which is supposed to be where he starts his apprenticeship. If there's a higher level necromancer that would be interested in having an apprentice I think that would work out quite well.

It doesn't have to be super complicated. Just simply sending the apprentice to collect some specific item could keep us busy for weeks, depending what it is.

Also, if anyone would like to join us, we've only had one session and it was mostly spent in creating the back story, so now's the perfect time. The group has been going for a few months on surface characters we didn't think would live this long. Previous rules were no muling and permadeath enforced on death, no using Myrkul. Exceptions if a bug or crash caused a lost corpse that we should have recovered. We've relaxed the muling a bit and started the new group using RCR characters. Current intention is to still stick with perma death because we like the fear factor it creates, but we' might be open to relaxing that if it's a major problem. As long as we keep the fear of death, instead of treating it like a free ride to the inn.

Currently level 4-9, due to different levels of rerolled characters. Those under 9 might be trying to catch up this week, usually we only play the characters during the group sessions.

Faern (wizard)

((if he doesnt belong to any particular organization and he is a specialized wizard he can see about joining the school of necromancy, the school doesnt force anyone to join but it does regulate all necromancy in and around sshamath and all necromancers simply have to agree to not use necromancy against anyone in sshamath if they dont want trouble

I can make you an mission request with one of my drows. The only problem is that these last Sundays DM Lobo is handing the ooze plot events, starting at 18-19 GMT and I would like to join them. If it starts later or if you log earlier we can arrange a meeting.

School records indicate Antimar is from Menzoberranzan. He has come to Sshamath to attend the necromancy specialty school.

I could log in earlier. The tasks could be given to Antimar as the apprentice, and then he could get assistance in the performance of assigned tasks. We're frequently all online before the scheduled time as well, so I suspect it could be shifted a little.

There's a collective backstory for the group. Part of the current plan is Antimar being a foreign student at the necromancy school from a noble house in Menzoberranzan. A house name will likely be added at a later point, we hadn't decided on one yet. I was going to just assume he was already a student there, but I don't see any reason there couldn't be some sort of enrollment in the future instead of the past.

Just as a note, the drow who would ask for the task will not be a Necrmancer.

I think we'd welcome a quest hook from anyone. Including multiple more open ended quests at a time. If anyone has some fun idea they want to throw at a few level 9s in the underdark.

For a formal apprenticeship Antimar is a necromancy specialist. I think it's fine if his mentor isn't a necromancy specialist, so long as it isn't their prohibited school. It wouldn't make sense to try to learn from someone who doesn't know the magic he's trying to focus on. He would be more inclined to take a position with a necromancy specialist or pale master.

Antimar has joined the necromancy school. Due to his prior training at the Sorcere in Menzoberranzan he was granted the rank of acolyte upon acceptance.

No senior necromancers were looking for an apprentice, thus he is pursuing his own research independently. Fortunately, excellent resources are available for the study of necromancy.

He is accompanied by his two eldest sisters, who are staying in the city for reasons unknown to him. He also brings with him his Tanarukk slave.
